that isn't to say the town itself doesn't have an impact necessarily b/c it absolutely does, but it isn't significant enough to prevent schools like hays from succeeding.
also hays is the only show in town & thus better supported as the focus of that community - edmond is a really nice place, & no one there cares about uco w/ shangri la a half hr south of okc. perspective.
the life of a college athlete....practice, games, training/workouts, school, studying, parties/girls. you can literally do it anywhere.Go Bearcats!

Running back connection in the game, previous foes to each team in the playoffs
Al McKeller (NW Mo) ran for 145 yards against FHSU in FHSU last playoff game in 2018 when Al was with Indy.
Tristan Tucker (FHSU) was with Harding in 2019 and scored the late touchdown versus NW Mo in the playoff game and was subsequently denied the 2 pt conversion.
