It is both Bliel's, the son the OC is in over his head and the dad the OL coach is stealing $$ for his job.

Another year of Bliell is terrifying. He turned a solid and accurate game manager, Dodson, into a basket case in a single off-season.

Not with Jim Johnson, but if a change hasn’t been made at this point, it won’t be made, unless they find something better. The younger one’s wife hasn’t resigned her teaching job yet, so there is that.

If both Bliels are back next year will be HCTA last.Originally posted by GorillaTeacher View Post
If the offense doesn’t show any growth next year, then they all need to be canned. Bleil should probably have been relieved after the season. But maybe with his guys, they will do better.

Is Brent Venables the D1 version of Rich Wright? Oklahoma hadn’t had a losing season since 1998… now Venables has two in 3 years. To be fair, it took Wright longer to make NW irrelevant. Fortunately, he didn’t have a $44 million buyout.

Absolutely. Beck leveraged his connections he mad under Francione and Broyles to land a D1 job. Has the NW tree grown and advanced like that?Originally posted by GrifFan View PostI’m not sure a move from fired D2 head coach to D1 coordinator is all that likely, but I’ve been wrong before. The coaching game is as much about who you know as what you know.
