  • Pitt vs Central Missouri in week 3

Hoping the Gorilla D stays tough and the offense continues to develop. We have a kicker that is the real deal and two great TE's that need to be utilized! Running game is coming around.
Pitt will be a tough game for anyone.

Good for you, you beat the worst team NW has fielded in a decade.

This game is very concerning. Mules are riding high, and executing really well while Pitt has struggled to put a half together, let alone a whole game.

UCM definitely looks closer to mid season form than Pitt so far. The game really could go either way, especially if Pitt doesn't take that next step this week.

Also worth noting that this Mule qb doesn't appear to quite have the timing down on the underneath stuff. once he does, their O will be flat scary.

Pitt will have to get pressure on him, and put together some sustained drives on O to help out.

So is PITT the real deal this year or what? Everyone handing y’all the trophy already. What am I missing?

I don't care how down they are, sneaking out of kitty cat land with a win is still a tough task.

It will be interesting to see how both teams do from here. The UCO loss last year made nw a much better team the rest of the year.

Will ESU need a wake up call after winning their super bowl, or will they stay on track?

Too early to tell. Pieces are there. Offense can click. Our QB hasn't really looked comfortable in the pocket. Seems to struggle to find his targets. But our running game is clicking, our defense is playing well. Some question at WR, but we were all expecting those. Horne is hurt, seems serious. Special teams are doing well.

Hard to say as it seems Washburn isn't as good as we thought and just lost to MOSUCK, Fort Hays has only beaten NSU. Seems like a legitimate test for the Gorillas. However UCM hasn't played a defense like ours. Proven dbacks and dline. Linebackers are fast and tackle. We are forcing more turnovers this year.

We havent played an offense like UCM, though. They may put up some points. But I think we will be able to score against their defense. We will likely be able to get more stops. We just need to make sure the stops happen at the best times.

Pitt is a wait and see just like every team after 2 weeks.

I did think the Pitt QB actually looked comfortable in the 2nd half against Hays for the first time.

Lots of new and transfer WR's means the passing game is taking a minute to come around.

Our run game will be the great equalizer. We just been able to grind them down on offense and limit their run game. That usual is a recipe for success.

UCM’s QB will be facing some pressure and a fast defense that will get after it. He hasn’t seen that yet. We’ll see how he does.

Again I think our defense will keep things in our favor until the offense gets its balance.

Keeping the Mule down since 1989.
