They seem pretty tame compared to the Nebraska farm kid who took his helmet off and threw it at spectators after a UNO playoff loss at Pitt bitd.

i have zero knowledge of what you mean. i was at THIS game though. witnessed it first hand. im all about some pushing, shoving, **** talking all that but knocking out a parent, having very little regard for "civilians" for lack of a better term running over kids to fight....too far. they were absolutely the aggressors walking to our side of the field and wading around in and out of the parents on the field. they were daring anyone to say something to them.

I'm pretty sure he's a good fundraiser for sure. But he's turning into a very good coach. Saw an interview with a person going into the halftime of the Delta State game when they're up 24 nothing. He is so mad at his players they can barely contain from being rude to the interviewer. Because they miss some passes they miss some reads and they didn't put the ball in the end zone right before halftime. Because they didn't perform like they were supposed to. He's on that Sabine mentality of do the standard

And the UCO allegations that they were all throwing gang signs. Well most of the California kids are already working there's way through the system cuz they were juco transfers. The good chunk of these players are locals or at least Kansas juCo transfers. I'm so sorry that the sweet innocent naive and perfectly wonderful UCO players were forced to witness such horrible displays of happiness and celebration. My heart goes out to those poor bron chos. No wonder they don't want to play us anymore. That's okay we're going to take care of that Presidents cup.

I'm going to really enjoy when nsu's wrestling team gets going. We may not be able to win right away against ucos powerhouse. They're no longer going to be the only game in town

pffft whatever helps you justify it. read the post i made above this one. i was in the crowd on this one... it wasnt the f*cking players initially. ofcourse, there were pockets here and there of players face to face but a majority of the players that were involved were specifically targetting the groups of parents coming onto the field.
the locals you talk about number about 6 or 7...most of them are transfers. one of them that landed there is on his 4th school in 3 years. we have transfers too. were not lilly white but you know what OUR team doesnt do after a win? ill give you a guess...

Yeah that's what I noticed there's only one northeastern transfer on the UCO roster.

well, were 1 game deep now. the other 2 didnt make it through camp. if they didnt make it there, they probably most likely wont make it in edmond either. yeh?

now i don’t mean to start anything on here but allegedly from some of the guys i heard they gave a transfer who left here (who didn’t start either) 40k in nil. I also heard that big donor chad wrote over a check for 100 million for a nil fund too. Love how the narrative around the team is “they’re thugs & hoodlums!” even though there’s only one team who comes out their locker room with weights in hand ready to fight after the game.

If I remember right, their deal with the MIAA for football has an expiration date. I think they have until next year to decide.

I kind of get the feeling they are looking for a new conference for football and don't really want to come back.

I could be mistaken, but it's possible the decision isn't totally in their hands. I seem to remember an interview with UNK's AD a while back where he mentioned a lot of the other ADs in the conference are happy with 10 football-playing schools because it allows for the round robin and 2 out of conference games. Not sure if that means the schools would have to vote to allow them back in or that they would just urge the conference to keep them out.

But again, I could be off base, so don't take that as fact.

Yeah, heard something similar. They don't get to come back if they want to. They have to be voted back in and seemingly no one wants them. I'd say go to the GLVC and dominate that league like Indianapolis.

Northeastern should been in a postseason game last fall anyway. They were campaigning to be in the Heritage Bowl.

Honestly I can't sit and tell you that you're wrong. The sports they have added really begin to kind of say we'd like to join the glvc. But not entirely. I don't know if they got an invite they would turn down one to the glvc. I don't think they would take an invitation to the GAC because I think they'd have to have a partner. And there's no way they're joining the lone Star been there done that. From what I understood this was the last season that they could run it independent and then they had to make a choice

In all seriousness it is truly amazing what has happened at NSU. I literally would’ve never thought I’d see the day. Idk why they don’t just come back to the MIAA? Wasn’t the independent thing just a “break” to right the ship? It appears that mission has been accomplished.

I appreciate that. It's a lot more fun to be able to talk a little trash between each other then it was beforehand. There are times the NSU UCO rivalry is really heavy. And both schools could use it.

Yeah there is no way in hades they sniff the playoffs at 6-1.

It might be iffy if a majority of those teams are over .500 and that SOS is going to be gnarly even at 7-0.

Scheduling Frostburg State (which Delta State did recently) instead of Langston would have alleviated the rest of the issues with SOS and playoff eligibility.

You're probably right on that however look at the cost. And I'm not sure we can schedule home and home because we may have to go back to the MIAA next season that's why they haven't released the 27 schedule. The Langston game is in-state it's a bus trip. It's also right next to the biggest metro area in the state and not too far from the second biggest one. It's almost a home game.

I think it was their last choice cuz they did not post it until like way late in the process I think they tried a lot of options to get another game with a D2

Cuz the last time we joined the MIAA we got one of those real special schedules that just absolutely ripped us apart and that wasn't even the worst one we had since.
