'87-'92 Correct. I read his bio when he was an assistant coach under Beard at Little Rock. He spent his most time at Howard (10 seasons)

    ADAMS
    1981-82, Clarendon College, Head Coach
    1983-87, Wayland Baptist, Head Coach
1987-92, West Texas A&M, Head Coach
    1992-97, Texas-Pan American, Head Coach
    2004-13, Howard College, Head Coach
2013-15, Texas Tech, Director of Basketball Operations
    2015-16, Little Rock, Assistant Coach
    2016-Present, Texas Tech, Assistant Coach

Its hilarious....every school he coached at is claiming him as "their own" now that Tech is kicking butt.

In his 5 years at WT, I never saw Mark get out-coached. By anyone. Ever. The guy can flat get his guys to play defense. I spent a lot of time around him while he was at WT. He's a good person and friend.

Wish we could see some TT style defense at the FUB.

Wow!. Beard is a miracle worker! No wonder he won COY. I guess those 10 years under Bob & Pat Knight paid off and brought Beard home to WIN!!

Win or lose, he's a BOSS!

North Carolina might come calling. If one of the storied NAME addresses like Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas became available, I don't see how he could turn them down.

I don't think he will leave TT anytime soon. Getting the TT job was a passion with him.

OK I have not talked to him in a while but last time I did he had no goals past TT. He wanted to build the program to top tier and keep it there.

His attitude may have changed over the past 2 years.

"I'd like you to meet the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Kentucky (or North Carolina)." or "I'd like you to meet the Head Men's basketball Coach at Texas Tech."

If the Tech football coach wins the NC three years from now, would he leave for the head job at Alabama or Ohio State?

                                I wonder.
