I couldn't agree more. Our QB has a hard time throwing an accurate pass, and the play call is horrendous. I cannot understand why we haven't seen Gibson come in. Is he hurt? Why would you continue to do the same thing all of the time when it's not working?

WT has some issues for sure
QB - QB play is not good. He is not comfortable in the pocket. Consistently misses easy throws over the middle and turns the offense into school yard football every 3rd play. A lot of designed QB run plays that don't yield much. It seems like all of his long runs are just scrambles. I keep expecting to see Gibson when Johnson is struggling
OLine- Oline play in not good. Very slow and get beat off the snap a lot. RB's do not have much room to work and QB is under pressure far too often.
RB- RB group lacks speed. Henderson hasn't shown that he can run behind the Buffs Oline as effectively as he did at CWU
WR's- Who knows? Cant get them the ball
DLine-Slow and get tired as the game goes on. Pass rush is non existent
LB- Lber group is solid
DB's- Liability in man coverage. I am honestly surprised more teams haven't tried to exploit them with the deep ball
I still think they will beat WNMU because WNMU has no Offense at all, but it might be one of those 17-7 type games

A winning season this year. Pie in sky. Will be time to move on and build with diff Coach.Originally posted by cwfenn View Post
With a new AD from a school with a big-time football program, I think Lynn was on the hot seat from day 1. Unless the team shows lots of improvement and possibly even a winning season, you may see a new coach next year.

I didn't think this would be the case, but there has been a clear regression so far under the Lynn regime. Unless things turn around the last half of the season, I don't see how they keep the current set of coaches. 3-8 followed by a 1-4 start this year with maybe being able to win 1 more game this season. If WT wants to be taken seriously, they move on. I don't care if it's only year 2, it's clearly not working

I really want him to turn things around but I don’t see any progress beyond Johnson providing much of the below par offense.
The defense still sucks, especially the secondary.
Optimist Prime please come and see me straight!

Having seen neither team this year and having no idea what I'm talking about, I'll say wt by 1 point.

I'll wait to see what happens tonight before making any rest-of-season predictions.Originally posted by WT_TKW View PostWhile hope is somewhat high after beating Sul Ross, I don't see September being good for WT. The next 3 opponents are ranked. plus WOU, with whom we have an 0-3 record.
October is a little better with only 3 games, 2 of which are the New Mexico teams, but at this time I think Eastern is better than WT. I think they will blow out SR like we were supposed to. UTPB is the other team and we will lose to them.
November is more optimistic, though WT will lose to Angelo. Kingsville and MSU are hard to predict now, so we might beat 1 or both of them.
So my forecast is still 4 wins. Optimist Prime, what say you?

Lol that's the truth, you gotta find the right company that allows you to work internationally of course. Well worth the move but certainly stressful at times!Originally posted by Buffalo/Islander Alum View Post
I work remote with the VA but they would have a cow if I even tried to take my laptop on an international flight, much less try to work remote overseas. LOL.
Wish the best to WT this season, you guys were my first taste of a D2 road game back in the day when Pueblo played down there.Last edited by Turbonium; 08-26-2024, 08:53 AM.

No clue. Spain's digital nomad visa they launched last year was perfect for us 100% remote workers. Been a pretty great 15 months here so far, makes following D2 football a bit tougher though I'll admit.

Well when you live here it's a bit different than what you do with your time spent while on vacation, it's just life. I typically only catch any of the noon/early afternoon start time games for D2 though which are 20:00-22:00 starts for me. If you're ever in my area with some free time feel free to reach out.Originally posted by WT_TKW View Post
I visit Europe a couple of times per year and watching D2 games at 3am is not what I do in Europe.
I’m also on ships a lot and the streaming frequently fails so I miss more games than I would like.
I love Spain, I’ve been to many ports and have liked them all.

That is weird. Not sure why someone would lie about that?

What a weird thing to think someone would lie about. Fly on over to València, first drink is on me.
