Speak for yourself. Go Orediggers!
‘Unfortunately’ I’m not going to cut my Mexico vacation short to go to this game but I did book my ticket back to DEN anticipating Mines will play on 12/9.
And Pops thinks he’s a contrarian. 😂

Since we were talking next generation: https://www.pewresearch.org/internet...5%20of%20teens.Originally posted by ASUPops View Post

Funny how facts get in the way of a "good point".
Teen ‘usage’ of Facebook has fallen from 71% to 32% (as of 2022) and will continue in that direction. So no, the facts didn’t get in the way of my point. You just missed it.

Actually READ your source. The #'s giving werexfrom 2014. That would be 9 years ago. Those teens are NOW 22-27 years old and fall into the MODERN day sources I quoted.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View Post

The facts got in the way of a "good point" AGAIN!!!
😉
I think the point is young kids (teens) of all upcoming generations won't be big users of Facebook, but as they get older, they appear to start using Facebook. At least that appears to be the trend.
But.....Remember MySpace? .......Me neither! 😄😄

UCM lost to Pitt trying to go for 2 in that same situation this year. That scenario has not been their friend.Originally posted by IronOre View PostNot Region 4, but Central (Missouri) lost to Harding on a blocked extra point try that would have sent the game to overtime. That brought back some (bad) memories.

First of all, this is silly to argue about…haha. And I doubt we want to waste much more energy on it. But the data is from 2014 - 2022. The info directly below the graphic states: “Source: Survey conducted April 14-May 4, 2022.” So, no, still not getting in the way of a good point 😉Originally posted by ASUPops View Post

MySpace. Haha. AOL in the 90s was anxiety inducing…all that waiting to hear if you had mail or not.
At least we aren’t talking about Threads.

From our own viewership standpoint....here's our breakdown..most of our fans are more twitter engaged, but we do have our SR4 show on Facebook and Youtube.Originally posted by IronOre View PostHow many Facebook users are following the D2 Region 4 playoffs?
The show from Tuesday night (11/28) has 211 views on Facebook, 382 from Youtube, and 2054 on Twitter. Coaches and players are much more twitter people..parents are a mix, D2 fans in general are more Twitter.

Probably only the real die hard D2 fans and/or just fans of the schools making or remaining in the playoffs.Originally posted by IronOre View PostHow many Facebook users are following the D2 Region 4 playoffs?
A really good experiment will be Northwest Missouri State fans if their downward trend is an extended one.
I have never had Twitter (X).
If I did have twitter I would officially have no life and would probably be a single parent 100%. LOL.

Fair question. They always will go down as less teams are active. Teams that just lost in a playoff aren't typically wanting to see a recap of how they lost, etc. Ya know.Originally posted by Buffalo/Islander Alum View Post

Our first SR4 podcast had the following numbers....3798 twitter, 316 Facebook, 806 Youtube. That's almost twice the viewers when the playoffs started..compared to now.

That makes sense, half the teams, about half the views. Probably means people still watching have a dog in the fight and there are not too many generic diehard D2 fans represented in your view totals. Our first SR4 podcast had the following numbers....3798 twitter, 316 Facebook, 806 Youtube.
