LOL not trolling I was just picking at both of us for our wrong picks but since you seem to be in a mood...

You were passive aggressive about Central Washington legitimately being in the field multiple times on your podcasts because they lost to a NAIA team at home and their less number of D2 games.

Yes we pretty much agreed if Augustana won out then this would be the 7 teams yet you were taking your shots and I get it.

We would have done the same if Duluth was place in the field and Central Washington was left out.

Just admit you were wrong about Central Washington's chances and they belonged in the field the same way I was wrong about predicting about UTPB beating Bemidji.

As I recall it, he said it was known that the seven were the seven with two weeks to go. I can't tell tell you with 100% certainty that he said it on the show, but I know that's what he said.

Yep we had the discussion for weeks on the NSIC board that this would most likely be the 7 teams if they won out.

However each time Central Washington was discussed it was...."they lost to Montana State at home and they only decent team they beat was Angelo State who had also beaten nobody....."

In fact one of his comments (as close as I remember) was..."Its hard not for the NCAA to think about CW losing at home to a NAIA school when considering the field even though it cant be used as criteria"....

It doesn't take a sharp guy to figure out that they were privately hoping Wayne State would sneak into that last spot if Minnesota State beat Duluth or even Duluth was more deserving having beaten Minnesota State on the road despite the low SOS.

He was also lobbying for the LSC champ to travel to one of the NSIC locations first round of the playoffs even though that champ would only have 1 loss.

I totally get it. I would have taken the same position being the NSIC fan and columnist.

I like Witt he is an awesome columnist and fun to banter with.

CWU lost to Montana Tech. A loss against Montana State would not have been a negative ha ha ha.

You made my original point for me.

If it were up to you and others then that NAIA loss would have been a contributing factor to keeping CWU out of the field and putting another NSIC team in there.

You are having your cake and eating it too with this debate.

You are saying its a bad loss but you know darn well it doesnt count toward CWU playoff resume which is why you caveat it with "Central Washington should be in the field".

I am pretty sure Central Washington would love to have more D2 non conference options closer by to where they dont have to schedule NAIA and FCS teams.

It works the other direction too.

Ferris State as an example:

Let's say they finished this regular season 11-0, which would have included a win against a #2 seed Montana in the FCS playoffs, but finished with a 3 seed D2 regional ranking.

I would bet Ferris State fans and the GLIAC columnist would have a fit because they would have been ranked behind a possible Harding or Pitt State team having to travel there.

Not sure how that means anything? I’d be on here whether all NSIC teams were done or not. Only one I care about is MSU. If CWU boat races Bemidji, so be it. My team is done already. I just think it’s fun to watch you turn in circles :)
