Great season for Central Washington just tremendous. When I saw them in Monmouth they struggled -- though I think Volk got two picks -- so they really improved throughout the year.

My coaching philosophy always spent at least 1/3rd of EVERY practice conditioning. With one practice a week on nothing but conditioning. My teams could play 6-8 quarters of football. They were always the best conditioned and most physical.
In my opinion, college teams spend too much time in weight room and not enough on endurance. Run more bleachers, squat thrusts, updowns, and TONS of 6 inches & 6 to 90. Then long distance runs, every morning.

It's the same philosophy I use to this day when going to the fridge for that third beer.............

In Tennis, we had one day a week where we ran 3 miles and the rest was sprints and short 1 mile runs.
That was however in the 1980s.
When I coached high school tennis in the late 2000s we were limited to the conditioning and times of day and of course you had to honor a doctors note that excused them from conditioning but they were perfectly fine and cleared to play a 90 minute tennis match in 90+ degree heat. LOL.
I miss the coaching but dont miss the new politics of it.

I mean you hated it, but loved the outcome.

Then these kids come back when the see others having success and ask what they can do to be in that same place....

So yes, I’ve been to Kutztown quite a few times! Slippery Rock, never been there, don’t plan to go there. I try to stay as far away from PSAC schools as possible unless there’s a chance to beat them (New Haven used to play 3-4 PSAC schools every year as an independent, and I have a very strong opinion of IUP from those years).
Just make sure you keep your eyes out for runaway bulls if/when you’re in Kutztown:

If you ever come to LSC country to cover a game and ask for a soda anywhere in the south you are going to get the Tucker Carlson blank stare.
