It's probably just a sign of the times but this design style feels a little stale - especially when other schools already have it. That being said, I don't hate it, and USF was due for a rebrand.

USF's cat has its mouth closed...TOTALLY different.

I guess it's not that much different than every other school having a sailor hat mascot.
