Yes, the mental effects of this has to be crushing. At least there will still be a game- can you imagine cancelling a semifinal?

Geez, the uproar over cancelling first round games, I can't even imagine the uproar over giving a team a pass into the Championship......

Another interesting tidbit that I read that is going to make this off season very interesting. If a school decides to keep a senior, and they have the funding to maintain their scholarship, that scholarship does NOT count towards the NCAA's 18 scholarship limit. If a school plucks someone out of the portal and offers them a scholarship, that will count against the 18 scholarship limit.

One of the example given was Bowling Green, with 10 seniors this season. If all 10 are retained by the Falcons and they choose to offer them scholarships, Bowling Green could conceivably have a roster with 28 scholarships offered, if the funding is there.

BSU Senior forward Ethan Somoza (captain) and defenseman Brad Johnson (assistant captain) will use the NCAA COVID year and return to Bemidji State for the 2021-22 season.

Beavers drop Wisconsin 6-3 to move onto the Regional Final against the winner of UMass and Lake Superior State.

Minnesota-Duluth and Boston College have already moved on by no-contests due to positive COVID results with Michigan and Notre Dame.
