    Wow.
    Fergus is POY in his conference and all region. Had quite a few lower d1 schools reach out to him like austin peay, niagara, etc.

    Shuler played on a terrible, winless team so he was probably under the radar.

    Last year we started 3 6-1 guards who were shutdown defenders and great scorers. To my surprise, bigger teams were not able to exploit their height advantage over wlu. Our guards created problems due to their quickness and sharing the ball. They disrupted guard centric offenses, like NDC and New Haven.
    With these signees, it looks like we will have a similar profile.

    With 15 players, could we possibly employ 3 platoons in some situations? :-)

    Connor Harr is now a full time assistant coach, replacing Mike Lamberti. He is a basketball savant! Well respected by players and coaches.
    Congrats Connor!

    He should have went up against Fee for the Gannon job. That was the best one of the three (looking beyond the awful KJ run).

    Can't imagine he's real popular at WCU today. Yikes.

    FYI for WLU fans

    Despite transfers, WLU will have enough 3 pt shooters to spread defenses.

    Elite is >= 40%

    Rasile - 45.0%
    Montague - 44.8%
    Sarson - 39.6%

    Good is >=35%

    Hinds - 34.9% - He was at 50% for much of season, but developed a tendency to rush some shots later in season when he was not set..
    Spadafora - 34.6% - He started out much lower, but rapidly improved near the end of the season.

    All of these players can drive to the rim if opponent sells out to block the three pt shot.

    Now add in transfers to be named later and future looks bright

    According to the former pro coach (New Zealand) who was analyst for New Haven game, good shooters become great shooters at WLU due to the ball rotation giving players wide open practice shots.

    True. Deadly 3 pt shooter.
