What's your Top 8 then, genius?

Id flip ESU and Fairmont and drop WCU in favor of Charleslton.

I know the "eye test" isn't one of the official criteria but you have to wonder what the individual voters think of a 21 point semifinal loss to the #1 team as opposed to a 4 point loss to the #2 team in the semis.

I could be wrong, but I think it comes down to Concord or WCU for the 8 seed and I think it is CLOSE!!

How is Charleston's record against ranked teams? I haven't researched them much.

WCU got blown out but it was at the No. 1 team's home gym.

It's a mess down there. No doubt.

        What about Shippensburg?

Ship is out. Too many good teams had deep tourney runs.

My take on the NCAA selections is that contrary to what the NCAA would have you believe, they are totally subjective. The criteria are just a collection of individual facts that permit a selector to vote what their eye or heart wants them to vote. If a selector believes WCU should be in over Charleston, there is probably a criteria that has WCU as better than UC...If the same selector decides he likes UC over WCU, he's going to be able to find a criteria that lets him vote that way...for instance, WCU is 0-1 vs WLU while UC is 1-2 vs WLU.

I maybe missing something but when did UC play WL in the tourney? I thought UC (Charleston) lost to Concord in opening round of MEC.

Are you saying Charleston when you mean Concord? You made reference to Charleston's 4-point semi-final loss to WLU. Charleston didn't have a 4-point loss to WLU in the semi-finals. That was Concord.

Edit: Dirtybird beat me to it.

Does ESU make regionals? I say their 1-1 performance in the PSAC tournament is enough for them to get an at-large bid...

If Concord wasn't in the official top 10 before tournament play, I'd find it very hard to see how they played themselves into the top 8. They played fine, but when you end the season with 10 losses, fine doesn't cut it.

Going 1-3 to close the year doesnt cut it either! That's a bit less than "fine" wouldnt you say??

PSAC crew ... whole starting lineup of WL and ND fouled out by halftime.

Thats OK...WLU and NDC would score 100 points on any PSAC team in the first half and would win 100-75!!!

Does Virginia State pass West Liberty?

                            Legit question.

VSU is a conference champion. Both 4 losses.

You putting ND that low? I'd take Ship over Fairmont.

I (oddly) agree with Boat. ND won the MEC. That should get them 'at least' a No. 5
