There are more teams coming to Municipal on Nov. 12th & 13th as more schedules are released. Missouri Southern is playing Upper Iowa on Friday and Southern Nazarene on Sat. Should be an awesome two days of basketball. At least 8 schools will be there. Not sure how many more.

Does anyone know if this is legit? He apparently goes to Roosevelt but I haven't heard of him before.

Article on recent Augie commit Caden Hinker from his hometown paper: https://www.mitchellrepublic.com/spo...ege-basketball
Hinker mentions why he's excited about coming to Augie, how his style of play will fit in with the Vikings, and discusses other schools that offered him, including Washburn, NWMSU, and USF. Looking forward to following him this year and seeing him in Viking blue in the 2022-23 season.

This is off topic but a special post for Augieholic. I got hugs from Heather Johnson Anderson and Joanne Noreen as they were inducted into the Mav Hall of Fame on Friday night. They look like they could still take the ball to the hoop 12 years after the national title. Casey Lloyd, who has broadcasted for over 50 years, is on the left.

The hits keep on coming. Here's another commit, and another much-needed big man.

Posted this in the recruiting thread too, but:
Don't know if it's because the D1 stuff is behind us or if it's just been a solid summer on the recruiting trail, but it feels like the Vikes are getting back on track. Looking forward to seeing this group plus Caden Hinker on the court for the next few years.

For Augie fans interested in this 2022 recruiting class, here are some tweets I dug up for the three recent commits. I posted a few tweets about Rensch and McDonald earlier in the thread. We'll see how long I'm able to stay logged in before I randomly get logged out. Might take me a few tries.
Caden Hinker
Cool thing about the assist and defensive rebound records at Mitchell is that Hinker plays at the same school former NBA star Mike Miller played for in high school. Not that Miller was a world famous passer or rebounder, but cool that Hinker had to jump a long-tenured NBA player to achieve some of those milestones.
