I'm not even sure Kallmam touched the court but I dont know for sure
Didn't the kid who went to Northern Arizona have success?

EDIT: Mason Stark. Was a role player off the bench on a bad team, so guessing you're not too impressed by that.

Doesn't matter if I'm impressed, but to me, as a former athlete who enjoyed competing, I do not understand it at all.

Hope he finds a landing spot on someone's football roster.

I know it's the Big Sky, but it's Division I. The highest level. He got to play in games against Arizona, Washington, Gonzaga. There is value as a competitor in playing against the top competition possible.

Yeah, like I've said, makes no sense to me. He went from competiting for a title to averaging 17 minutes and five points a game on a team that went 9-23.

Everyone makes their own decisions, I'm not telling them they are wrong, I'm saying I don't get it.

I had the chance to walk on to a big XII school out of high school and had two D1 offers from regional FCS level.

After first couple years I could have easily gotten many more D1 scholarships with the potential to maybe be a top 50ish athlete at the very best.

To me, it made more sense to chase the option of championships rather than never compete at a national contest just to say I was D1.

I have no regrets and I'm sure they don't either.

It's also different to me to get to D1 and develop and know what you got rather than be good in d2 and then just hope it works out for that last year.

                • Pretty high praise and expectations out of Saul in today's interview. Interest is heightening

                  • Who’s the guy doing PxP on the broadcast? Sounds like he’s from Australia. Not doing a bad job was just caught off guard by it.

                    • Nice win for the women tonight. I didn't realize DSU was #6 in the nation for NAIA. Didn't get to see more than the first few minutes but would have been cool to see a game at the old Civic Arena.

Now, we see finally get to see what we have on the mens side with a basically completely new roster.

                      • It is tough to get much of a read on an exhibition against Dickinson State but my takeaways are these.

We have a lot of height, our smallest player on the court is Glenn at 6'3"
We have some pretty athletic guards, though they struggle to finish at times
We are scrappy, fighting for loose balls and going after rebounds

My favorite takeaway is this...we have almost an entirely new roster that has barely been together, yet the ball movement and chemistry seems to be there. That is a hard thing to have in a short period of time and you can really build on that.

Our posts are some big bodies down there and our seven foot freshman isn't even playing. Tobi is a little raw, but plays pretty good defense, moving his feet and staying straight up.

When Saul says he sees something there, I can buy that. Now, again, this was Dickinson State, so....we could very well still finish at the bottom, but I think, at minimum, the ceiling is middle of the pack. They play a deep rotation, which is awesome to see again, but you can only build on being so new to one another. Only one senior on this squad.

Burks has potential to be really, really good

                        • Welp, here we go. This weekend will be interesting. I wouldn't exactly say optimism is high this year so if the Wolves can somehow put on a good showing in these 2 games it would go a long way towards helping fan morale for the season. If NSU goes down to Missouri and gets blown out twice, we may see an all time record for lack of attendance this season in Wachs Arena.

                          • Without a doubt, this is the worst NSU team I have ever seen.

Im not watching tonight, but from what I have seen on the year, this team has more overall talent than last years squad. Moni, of course stands out, but the combined talent and ceiling is better with this squad. It's young, fresh faces in their first year together, so I cut some slack there. They never seem to give up in any of the action I've seen, and I like that. Now, does this group have the long term talent to win a conference title? I don't think so, but we are where we are. Got to have long term development and if better recruits come along to take a roster spot, great. But we are very much starting from scratch.
