I watched the Cal Poly Pomona - Cal Poly Humboldt game this past saturday and it was a pretty odd ending. Cal Poly Humboldt ended up getting the win and season sweep over the Broncos but just barely. They missed 8 of their left 12 freethrows and at one point missed 5 in a row. They were giving the game away but the Broncos wouldn't take it.

IUP proceeded to lose their second game of the season to rival Cal UP. Cal UP is a strange team with only 12 wins on the season. Lost at home by 40 or so to Gannon, but have wins over IUP and Malone, two teams that will make the NCAA tournament.

Winston-Salem are about to win the CIAA tournament for the very first time. What a season for they are having.

Gannon Ladies beat IUP at their house by 9 and returns to the top spot in the PSAC West

Makes me wonder if IUP peaked too soon. Two losses in a row is not a good way to end the season after going through much of it undefeated.

They haven't played a ton of top competition and few tight games. Could easily see it being a wakeup call that forges them ahead of a petering out.

You must be very annoyed Gannon's back in the top 5 and iup dropped out of the top 10 nationally lol. I don't disagree, I just don't think Gannon has the guard play to go far this year. I mean even the ncaa write up listed Cernuto as a key contributor, who tore her acl a 3rd time in California a month ago. Oof

In January I watched IUP defeat Gannon at Gannon, and it wasn't even as close as the game ended up.

I am not going to blame a coach, but a depleted Gannon does not have the total overall talent that IUP has. If the coaching roles were reversed, IUP has maybe 1 loss?

I wouldn't be surprised if IUP doesn't even make the PSAC finals.

Fort Hays State loses in the quarterfinals of the MIAA tourney in OT. I would think their loss gives Concordia St. Paul the 2 seed in the region.

Typically conference tournaments don't impact seeding that much. Remember you have to look at the whole body of work. Head to head matters.

I'm eager for regionals to get underway. Here's my predictions for regional winners:

                        Atlantic- IUP
                        Central- Minnesota State
                        East- Bentley
                        Midwest- Grand Valley State
South Central- Toughest region IMO, I'm going to say Colorado Mesa
                        South- Nova Southeastern
                        Southeast- Columbus State
                        West- Cal Poly Pomona

The Fort Hays State vs Harding game was fantastic. Weeter went off for 46 points!

                              That was incredible!

And we got the first upset of the tournament. University of Missouri St. Louis (who didn't even win their conference tournament) upset Ferris State.

Cal Poly survives but just barely. Cal Poly seems to either look amazing or not so amazing. I think if they can put it all together, with their youth, they could be very good next season. A win is a win, onto the next round.
I'm surprised to see the score for West Texas A&M, they're currently down 28-50 to UT Tyler.
