Is he the last of the regime that the MEC folks dislike so much?

That particular league starts play in February 2019 right after the Super Bowl. I am assuming he will be leaving soon.

If the goal of the school is to get in a league closer to campus, then as an interim it might be wise to put in place a person with experience in the short order who is respected by the coaches and ADs of that league and who also has a good rep within the G-MAC to make the transition easy. This person was given an award two years ago by fellow G-MAC ADs, coaches and G-MAC admin. He may be respected enough to broker a nice deal with the G-MAC to get the "D&E treatment". Notice I used the word INTERIM. I know who wants the job on campus. I get that. But solid experience right now would not hurt in the interim. We need a sound plan right now.

I would be shocked if his replacement is NOT the current assistant AD, Carrie Bodkins.

CU men's and women's soccer have both qualified for the G-MAC tournaments. Still waiting to see if volleyball can join them. CU and KWC are vying for the final spot in the west division. KWC is currently ahead, but it look like they have the tougher remaining matches.

Their game against each other might be the one that decides.

What has to happen for ABU's men's soccer to qualify for the quarterfinals?

The press release after the game stated they needed help today. On Saturday night, we were 8th in the standings. Now it shows we are 4th as of right now.

Something weird is going on there. I looked this morning and we were in 5th. Then I noticed that Trevecca shows a 3 point deduction for "forfeit." I say weird, because when I click on their schedule it shows this, for the game in question:

                      10/20/2018 * Ohio Dominican H W 2 (Forfeit)-0 result does not change

If you forfeit, how does the result not change?

Here is the link to the standings page:

                        https://greatmidwestsports.com/stand...x?standings=65

At the bottom of the standings, it states this concerning Trevecca:

"^ 3 points deducted per forfeiture of unintentional card accumulation error during Oct. 20 contest (updated point total = 18)"

It says updated point total is 18, but it says 21 in the standings. I guess they received too many red cards in a game. I actually don't know to be truthful.

So here what I see that would keep us out:

                          Scenario 1:
Ohio Dominican, Lake Erie and Trevecca all win.

                          Scenario 2:
Lake Erie and Trevecca win and Ohio Dominican plays to a draw.

They may have played a player who was supposed to be sitting - either due to prior red card(s), or maybe an accumulation of yellows (I know in HS an accumulation of yellows over the season can lead to a suspension. Not sure of the corresponding NCAA rule, but I'm sure they have one). If I had to guess, its probably the later, as that one is much harder to keep track of.

I think this is a plot to keep KWC men's soccer out of tourney. :)
