Posters can say this-that-and-the other, but the league expanded and made itself much better. The GLVC went 12-12 in men's in-region play this weekend. The G-MAC went 5-11 in men's in-region play.

One thing we know for certain is that a good amount of posters on this board will be ate up with taking pot shots at a head coach that has gone 589-117 in all of his years as a head coach.
All that's well and good....my comment was aimed at the guy talking trash whose statement ended up looking silly.

As for Watson, yeah the USI guys go overboard, but I've seen his teams play for years and I wouldn't want him coaching my team either. Wait a second...now that I look at that record, I'm not sure who you're talking about. No way Watson has 589 wins as a head coach....not even close.

And for full disclosure, the GLIAC went 14-10 on the men's side in-region for the three day stretch.

Ohio Valley will face Rockhurst in the NCAA Midwest Final in men's soccer.

Findlay qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs. The Oilers got a tough draw in Shepherd.

I was talking about Happy Osborne. It seems like so many are obsessed with the guy. Of course, I see we got a new one (or really it is an old one) as a poster (and I can verify that it is an old one) that is going after a guy that is 6th in winningest active coaches at the D-II level in a place that ain't too easy to win at. Who is next? Coach K.....Izzo?

I just want to see the coaching credentials of these people. That is all.

History many times repeats itself. KWC beat Indy, Bell, USI, Lewis many times. Many were great games and each team loved playing before a full gym. But as soon as they could each stopped playing KWC.
Are the coaches afraid of getting beat?? Looks like we may be down for awhile maybe now they will schedule us. I do hope the GLVC and the G-MAC crossovers will continue. I hope they have contracts for the future. We will see if thses big schools will continue to visit G-MAC towns for games. Wayne State knew it was not wise to play AB there but they got wacked anyway.

Cedarville WBB was ahead of #1 Ashland with 1.4 seconds left. Ashland had 3/4 chances to win the game. Several tough calls allowed Ashland to pull it out. Said it before say it again G-MAC future looks very bright.

KWC left the arrangement whereby they played Indy, Bell, USI, Lewis twice per year, every year. It was KWC that stopped those games, not the other way around. That's a fact.

Huh? Happy was coaching NAIA before KWC. Not saying Georgetown was not a pretty good program but you can't say he is the 6th winningest(?) coach in DII when those wins didn't come from DII competition.

I am not a Happy hater. However, when a team like KWC, with their tradition, starts the season the way this season's KWC team has, I can PROMISE you there are plenty of concerned alumni and supporters who are not happy. No one is more enthusiastic about KWC basketball than myself who are not on the pay roll.

We are not used to getting blown out by 30 points against ANY D2 team. Write that down.

When you have attended every home game you could since 1981, and given as much money as you could as a supporter, and you are an alumnus - then you can offer an honest critique on this season's KWC team.

I am also very quick to praise. Don't call me out as a hater! You call your own alums or supporters out, unless you graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College. Leave me out of any discussion concerning KWC. I don't speak for anyone other than myself, and that's all I need. I don't live in a sugar cane candy house.

I don't think anyone called you a hater, but let me ask you this straight forward question: If we end up with a losing record this season, is that bad enough to fire Happy or drop the athletics program to D3, in your opinion?

It's one season. Hell, it's not even one season, we're 4 games into the season. Is there reason to be concerned for this season and disappointed with the way it has started? Certainly. Is the sky falling? The last time I went outside it wasn't.

For the record, I've missed maybe 3 or 4 home games since I graduated in 2001, have gone to at least 2 or 3 road games every year including several Thu/Sat trips to St. Joe's and Indy, Cedarville and Central State, and already have hotel room booked in Canton for the Walsh/Malone series in February. I am "captain" level in the Panther Athletic Fund and have floor seat season tix behind the KWC bench. Does that qualify me to "offer my honest critique on this season's KWC team"?

Absolutely, you can offer any opinion you want, Cap!

Do you know where KWC sits in the G-MAC overall standings in all sports thus far this academic season? I will tell you. Dead Last!

I also wrote a check to the PAF. It was just a $1,000. So, maybe you have me beat.

Look, my best friend while a student at KWC has served on the KWC BOT for several years. I was the only non family member in his wedding. He was the one that introduced the D3 option to the Board of Trustees. It might still be on the table, because it certainly does not appear that Wesleyan is offering athletic scholarships to many "Scholar Athletes."

My opinion may mean nothing to the BOT or the college administration. Still, that does not hamper my love for all things KWC.

IMO, if the current administration remains in place, KWC should drop to D3 because it seems obvious to me that the administration is not concerned about the athletic program.

The All American Club has disbanded. Back several years ago when the D3 option was brought up, the All American Club said they would not support a D3 program.

I do not want to see KWC go D3, but it sure looks like all signs are pointing in that direction. If we go D3 I will still support KWC, but that is not our tradition.
