Scholarship offer made to Marques Warrick, a 6'3" guard out of Lexington (KY) Henry Clay who is expected to be a Mr. Basketball candidate:

Looks like this is the second D-I offer from Scotty and the staff.

Will Cook finally have a breakout year? So much athleticism, seems to need confidence.

Sure hope so -- he's one of my faves and fun to watch. I'm no coaching guru, but think that he sometimes gets yanked too quickly.

On an unrelated note, BU is apparently interested in Ben Carroll, a 6"7" SF who's a rising senior at Greenwood (KY):

I see on the internet this Hatton kid also has offers from Ball State, Indiana State, Detroit Mercy and Univ Wisconsin Green Bay. If he is interested in playing D1 in a place where his family and friends can easily see more games, then Louisville is a lot closer to Ramsey, IN than any of those other schools.

No doubt. There's mid-major D-I talent in Kentucky and southern Indiana, and Scotty really knows how to "sell" BU and the city; I can see him, given a D-I recruiting budget and D-I scholarship allotment, bagging even more of this local talent than he already does for a D-II program.

Noticed that an enterprising individual is using EA Sports' NBA 2K roster creator/editor functionality to add college teams to the game, and apparently he/she just added the greatness of the Bellarmine Knights:

At our residence, we have gaming PCs and nearly every major gaming console, save for the Xbox. This makes me want an Xbox (or at least want to start messing around with the editor on the version of 2K that we have for our Switch and PS4).

My grandson is in this weeks Bellarmine basketball day camp for younger kids and I went to pick him up today mainly because I wanted to see which players were helping out on the camp. (Mostly trying to see if I could recognize any of the new additions). I saw most of the returning players (C.J. Fleming was my grandson's "coach") and I think the only returning player missing from the camp was Chris Palo. With regard to new players I think Drew Comer was there, someone who looked like he might have been Alex Pfriem (but I'm not sure) or more possibly Nick Thelen because he looked pretty tall. There was also a black guy who was about Ethan Claycomb's height, so he may have been Pedro Bradshaw.

If there were any player I was concerned about returning it would be Palombizio. Just based on how his year went last year, not on any inside info.

What is your staring line up for next year? Coach could go in several directions.

I recently noticed that a local high school, nicknamed the Hornets, have started using the slogan "StingersUp". This, to me, suddenly made "SwordsUp" seem a WHOLE lot better.

Went to the last day of BU youth camp to pick up my grandson....I saw Chris Palombizio today, also saw Pedro Bradshaw, Alec Pfriem and Drew Comer and Nick Thelen. Looking at DeAndre Pedro Bradshaw, I was amazed at how thin the guy looks. Looks like a strong wind could blow him away. However I remember how I thought C. Corbett looked thin, and he turned out to be an outstanding addition to the Knights.

Bradshaw is a 2 in D1. I think the big question going forward is going to be getting some bigger, stronger defender/rebounders. They don't have to be highly skilled scorers, but they are going to have be athletic, meaning quick and strong.

Still bummed that we won't see this chap in our scarlet and silver, but I do hope it works out for him:

Would be cool to see him "kill it," as the kids say, at WVU.
