I think that if colleges don't seriously look at their financial and competitive situation this year they never will. There are so many schools that have no business being D1 who should either go D2, D3 or NAIA. Chicago State is a great example.

I said that I was done with this thread because I was burnt out on all the bad news. Well, I'm back after a respite...with even more bad news. Maybe it's not so bad because I really dislike the Raiders. ;)

Tarleton is bank rolled by the A&M system. TAMUSystem will do what ever it takes $$$ to make it work.

I like your number even better. 358 teams at the D1 level is too many. With so many bleeding money and hoping to get basketball money they need to bite the bullet.

Same here. I've also seen some evidence that it can cause heart conditions (i.e. GSU QB).

A lot of folks think it is a life-or-death mentality. That's not the case for many people take precautions. I doubt I'd have a fatal reaction, but that doesn't mean it won't do permanent damage for the rest of my life. As someone who suffered through some severe asthmatic episodes in my youth, I have some genuine concerns that don't involve me ending up in a box.

You might be on to something there; after Ed Orgeron said about 80 of the LSU Tigers already had Covid, it sheds light on their horrible defensive performance this year.
