We just hung 55 points and had 500 yards of offense. Anyone who thinks this is a boring offense has a low football IQ. Sorry we aren’t throwing quick short yardage RPO dinks down the field annd short crossing routes to setup a deep ball. We are busy busting the B back or QB run up the middle to set up a toss play to hit for 60.

Most of us here are fans of great football period. The boring football argument is for the unwashed masses who don't know good football.Originally posted by codeblack View Post

Doesn’t matter. The FBS committee picks based on who they subjectively think the best team is, when you break down the stats Florida State played a weaker SOS overall and struggled more in their games compared to their peers who were granted entry. Liberty was also undefeated but nobody would ever vouch for the field to be Michigan/Washington/Florida State/Liberty.Originally posted by IUPNation View Post
Players getting hurt shouldn’t matter..they were undefeated and Alabamastan was not.
The Eagles won the Super Bowl with a backup QB.
Fact is that the four team system was broken and it’s a miracle we only had controversy like this twice the entire time it ran. Eight teams is plenty, but I won’t say no to more games, even if the way it’s setup will always allow for a G5 team to get smacked in round 1 by whoever is lucky enough to draw them.

Right, that wasn’t directed at anyone on this board. Just blowing off steam towards the unwashed masses who think the forward pass is the end all be all.Originally posted by bigmrg74 View Post

Having the best teams playing against each other is a wonderful concept, but the regional approach yields what we have today. It doesn't make you happy, but lots of fans are thrilled to have Kutztown playing in the Semi-finals today. We ESU fans felt the same way in 2005. 32 Super Bowls have been decided by 10 points or more. NCAA Championship games have been blowouts too. I've read more complaints than solutions...Originally posted by KleShreen View Post
You're right. I'm absolutely stupid and out of step to suggest that the best teams be playing against each other in the end of the playoffs. How stupid of me. Carry on with the scrimmages.
Also, I hate to break it to you, but you could remove the entirety of SR3, and still nobody from SR1 is going to win a national title in your lifetime.

So you prefer to have all games played for the enjoyment of all football fans verses playing so your team wins a majority of their games? Would not a team prefer to not be concerned with the other teams, their fans or the rest of the viewing audience? They play to win.Originally posted by BillyGV View PostHarding runs over LR - breaks LR season record for most rushing yards against LR - good on them - Harding does a nice job and I wish them luck but what I don't like is they don't have a watcher friendly product unless they are your team - for anyone else, the 3 or 4 yards and a cloud of dust does not interest them and is a boring type of game
Was last weeks 7-6 slugfest of a game for Harding and Grand Valley not exciting? Okay, don't think the teams care what we think.... they play to win.Last edited by Bisonfan from FLA; 12-09-2023, 04:56 PM.
