Theres a lot of politics involved with the football program. It is toxic and it's also why kids in the community don't play. Basically board members want to be the ones to say they are the reason for the turn around and have their hands in it all. But they've been the reason the program sucks. They need to give head coach full control and let it be.

That snow balled into where they are now.

Oddly Butler has the third largest enrollment in the state ... but they've been awful for a very long time.

As a freshman QB this past season he made on start (USC) and completed 28 of 44 attempts for 292 yards and 4 TDs.
He will start classes at Pitt on Monday.
Pitt has petitioned the NCAA for immediate eligibility. We'll see.
He was ranked the No. 22 pro-style QB in the country in the class of 2019.
Don't sleep on Pitt in 2020.

Also, what does leaving the WPIAL mean? I thought the WPIAL was just the PIAA District 7. Does the WPIAL have additional requirements that don't exist in other PIAA Districts?

Seems the Golden Tornado grew tired of being the 6A Golden Tomato Can.

I'm not even sure that's a true statement anymore. I think they're artificially elevated by NBC and other boomers still voting in the polls and given a full playoff would go the way of Nebraska and Penn State.
