Also it was the first time in my IUP lifetime they were not announced as The Beast of the East. Just a very odd day for the band.

I thought the same thing ... they had an extra month.

Weeeeeelllll…they haven’t been their reputation for a few years..it was a slow decline under Dr. Crimson Abomination. They haven’t been the best band in the Pee Sack for a while.

That'll be that. Very disappointing second half from the Warriors, just couldn't execute in the big moments. Lots of thrown hands in the air and frustrated gestures. This does not look like a playoff team to me.

I scanned quickly through the replay...they looked like a better team that should have won 31-0.

Who ordered those awful, butt ugly band uniforms?

Can't they just get someone to produce the ones they wore during Doc's years.

They were good looking uniforms and not some lounge lizard getup they had on today.

I have no beef with the crew being all female. It their commentating that was extremely difficult to listen to.

Same. The gender is irrelevant. The problems were that probably the majority of their utterances were exactly what the PA announcer said a second before and you could hear the stadium PA as loud as the broadcaster. It was like an echo.

Secondly, if these students want to use their voice in their career they need to know how to effectively use their voice. Be aware of the sing-songy nonchalance. I wouldn't take issue with their knowledge level but the students in the past were more knowledgeable of the game. I appreciate the student-run broadcast but my question is are they supervised? They should be,

I've always thought the main broadcast should be professional announcers. The students can do a broadcast for campus TV. It just makes the product seem very (too) amateurish.

To say they were very green would be fairly accurate…but again I don’t criticize students trying to do something.

I thought they might go winless this year. They were able to squeeze out one win, but that might be it. I hope they can get better going forward and start building this program back. This is not fun.

It's almost as if all the Cal posters have faded into oblivion...

They are hanging out with The Godfather in Exile in their track suits.

7,000 and change at SRU. Probably would have been more without the rain. Huge tailgate crowd. Rock is a great place to watch a game. Only downside is the lack of concessions and toilets on the visitor side, but plenty of parking near the away side for visiting fans. Rock fans were also especially friendly after the game.

I imagine Lutz and crew have some different feelings, but that was a great game to watch. High drama and at times unknown outcomes. SRU is so talented, so that second half was very unexpected. Edinboro isn't a bad team at all. Just lacking the resources to get some of those better players and a deeper roster. I'm totally bought into what Nulph is doing, it's just hard to watch knowing there's a glass ceiling.

That game was every bit as good if not better to watch than the big games on TV. Plus the PSAC is a great version of D2 ball. The coaches know each other. The players know each other. The coaches respect most of the opposing team because they recruited them. Each player usually has a small group of fans at most games because most of the schedule is a day trip away. Great stuff.
