SRU has wins against New Haven, Shepherd and IUP. I would guess that would bump them over KU.

Obviously, it doesn't really matter as they are going to settle it on the field (highly likely) in the State Game.

SRU still has Cal, but the Vulcans seem to have some mental block against them every year. I don't see Cal beating them. SRU also has the head-to-head against IUP, so they'd have to lose twice (in theory). Highly unlikely.

Pending no upsets, IUP's trip to Adamson in a couple weeks could essentially be a playoff game. Same with Shepherd/ESU.
Shep has Kutz on road before they play E Stroud.. Shep and Kutz have split recent contests with the road team winning. Shep is AT Kutz this year...

        3. Charleston 6-0
        4. New Haven 4-1
        5. Assumption 4-1
        6. California 5-1
        7. ESU 5-1
        8. Frostburg State 5-0
        9. West Virginia State 5-1
        10. Findlay 5-1

Assumption and East Stroudsburg right now looks good for KU. Especially if Assumption can finish their season strong and stays at one loss.

If Frostburg beats Charleston (and finishes undefeated) A couple of good teams are going to be left out of the playoff field. No one expects 2 MEC teams to get in..

Frostburg needs the win more than Charleston does. If FSU wins, 2 MEC teams will be likely for playoffs then. Frosburg has the worst SOS in the region, so a loss is really going to hurt.

IUP beat Ashland and lost to the Rock by 1... I would think IUP should be ahead of Ashland for now.

It is interesting to see how these come out of the computer. The 'eye test' would be quite different.

Findlay, for example, has played one team with a pulse - and got whacked.

I do agree, and I would expect IUP has to be at 13. However, that lose to Edinboro hurts, only being 2-4 at the moment.

Cal's loss to Charleston may be what hurts the PSAC in the long run this year, and allows 2 MEC teams to get in.

IUP wins its next two games and then the conversation changes.

Until then, the Tort Circus has left town.

IUP is at 15 and Shepherd is at 16. Ashland is ahead because of SOS (played IUP and Ferris). Tiffin and Northwood are 13/14 right now.

Fair amount of movement this week. Think we get our first official RR this week (today?) With Inkblots rankings as a guide, this is how it might look after this weekend's slate:

                            1. Charleston 7-0- SOS is a bit higher than Kutztown's and that Cal win is looking fantastic now.
                            2. Kutztown 7-0- Ultimately if they win out, I think they take the top spot. Looking not to have a let down against Shepherd this week.
                            3. Slippery Rock 6-1- SOS quite strong regardless of the loss to Cal this weekend.
                            4. California PA 6-1- I hope in the official RR that comes out that they are ahead of Rock because of this weekend's game result. On paper they are slightly behind in SOS.
                            5. New Haven 5-1- Should roll the rest of the way amongst an underwhelming NE 10 field.
                            6. East Stroudsburg 6-1- Been solid all year, Really can't afford another loss due to a weak SOS. Remaining opponents are 13-15 as of today, so not much of a bump on the horizon either.
                            7. Ashland 5-2- Strong SOS, They've already beaten the other contenders in the GMAC, just need to avoid a slip up against some bad teams.
                            8. Findlay 6-1
                            9. Tiffin 5-2
                            10. Assumption 4-2
                            11. Bentley 5-2
                            12. Frostburg 5-1- SOS is 2nd worst in the region... really couldn't afford a loss.

IUP and Shepherd are 13/14. Both would need to win out to have any shot. IUP has California, and Shepherd still has to play Kutztown/ESU.

I would flip East Stroudsburg and New Haven with New Haven remaining opponents are 12-14, pretty weak IMO. I would even put Ashland, with a pretty strong SOS, ahead of New Haven as of today.

                                Off topic but of note:

On the Tort Show tonight Jack eluded that there's a bit of a rumor going around that St. Francis (Loretto) is possibly toying with the notion of dropping down and joining the PSAC.

Jack doesn't gossip without knowing something. That is very interesting.
