What's the story on the Bucknell QB Christian Petruzzello that Ship got and Shep also got the Gettysburg transfer QB that had offers from Ship, Bloom, and others. Bringing in 3 transfer qbs is unusual.

Bucknell kid is a graduate transfer, so I would think the plan is he gets the nod as the starter. The other 2 are to help with depth in the qb room as young qb's of the future with 3 and 4 years remaining respectively.

Shepherd's whole QB room quit or transferred this season. Only 1 on the roster at present was little Bagent.

Like Powell wasn’t going to start at Shepherd next year so he bounces to a very bad D1 school. He will be there 1 year then bounce to D3…

That would be my take on it, too. The kid doesn't complete passes with smoke and mirrors.

Does that shirt your wearing say "Dick Head" or "Ass Wipe?" The Powell kid transferred to a D1 FCS school. Apparently he wanted to challenge himself and get a full ride, which Shepherd does not give. Did the Powell kid take your son's position or something? Your disdain for your starting qb is sad and at the same time interesting.

Again, another hater on a college kid that choose a HIGHER level of competition. And by the way, how would you know what the discussion was between Powell and the head coach? You seem to know it all, yet know nothing. Come to grips with it. The kid made a decision to take an offer from a D 1 FCS team. Looking at his X page, he also had offers from New Haven and Limestone. These offers come at time in which rosters at all levels are going to 105. Apparently the staff at Charleston Southern saw his film and liked him. Accept and move on. If Powell does indeed earn the starting nod, he will compete against Vanderbilt in the opener, and Coastal Carolina in week two. A little different than opening with Southern Connecticut. As some others have posted, stop hating on the kid. Your feelings are hurt. Understood. Accept it and move on.

I sincerely doubt he got a full ride. Unless he's a future Fulbright Scholar, he probably got a 50% discount code. CSU is private so it's just budgeted discounting to gain their net tuition paid. Look at their stadium. Bottom half in the PSAC. They don't have the money to budget for the full 64.

All FCS schools offer nothing but full rides. There are no longer walk on or partials at any D 1 level.
The only league that is D 1 FCS that is non scholarship is the Pioneer League with Dayton, San Diego....etc and the Ivy League.
