IUP needs to get it in gear then..this is the chance to put the school in a big spotlight on The Yinzerlands..make sure it never shines on Slimey Pebble ever again.Originally posted by EyeoftheHawk View Post
Both the men’s and women’s tournaments are in Pittsburgh this year. Pretty neat.

Hopefully Duquesne. Parking situation is light years better. RMU parking is free and outside, but there's only way in/out for the entire campus and it's at a light on a busy commercial road. It's a nice venue but a nightmare to get in & out of campus for events.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post
I'd hope Duquesne. Small arena.
PPG would be way too big.
It won't be a big draw in Pittsburgh.
Robert Morris and Duquesne are similar to the KCAC.

It's always amazed me they haven't created a second exit.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post

There's an emergency exit out the back that's usually blocked with a swinging gate, but it dumps into a residential neighborhood that's hard to navigate. It's a terrible piece of property to put a college campus on. Most of the rest of campus perimeter is a steep drop off.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post

Clarion is the host school. Why isn't it IUP?

That has to be the worst football stadium in all of D1.

According to page two of this PDF of 2022-2026 host sites from the NCAA, Clarion University of Pennsylvania is hosting something titled the "Basketball Festival" for both the men's and women's basketball tournaments at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse (Duquesne). It's not clear if that's the Elite Eight for both sports. Page thirteen of this 2027-2028 Championship Site Selection Process PDF claims that the Men's Elite Eight will be in Pittsburgh as part of a "Basketball Festival," but unfortunately it's not clear if that means the Elite Eight in March of 2026 or the Elite Eight for the 2026 season (so March of 2027).Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post
