      There was no doubt.

I don't mind Lock Haven moving back to the West. They're relatively easy to get to from I-80 and no more than 3-3.5 hours by bus/car/van from any school in the West. I had some good memories of trips there and that mid-central PA region with State College is just gorgeous.

It seems easier for them to go west than head into the Southeast for trips.

I'm glad to see them do that rather than put Ship or Shepherd out there as some had speculated. To me, Lock Haven's location near I-80 makes them a more sensible choice for the West.

I'm assuming this is for 2026? Seems like it would be, but it doesn't look like Lackawanna or the PSAC put any kind of timeline in the press release, so I'm just making sure

At least 2026 before they starting playing a PSAC schedule, probably longer than that before they are fully in and eligible for postseason similar to NAIA or NCAA Division III tranistion processes.

They didn't apply for provisional D2 membership this year. I don't know whether they'll qualify for the 2-year process or have to go through 3 years.

Especially if they're going from JUCO to NCAA...

They will be on the PSAC schedules in 2026 and will become a full D2 member in 2030.

I will try to hyperlink the Scranton times article. They mention adding more sports.

If they are anticipating 2030 to be when full membership begins that would mean applying successfully and beginning the 3-year path in 2027.

When they play Bloomsburg they should plow open a field in Centralia and have the game there. Call it the “Silent Hill Showdown” or something.

I would think the three-year process would start in 2026-2027, hence the full membership by 2029-2030.
