I'm happy for Nico. He deserves to be a starter.

Really great win for coach Scott and this Boro team. They looked like the better team from start to finish. They have some serious talent, going to be tough to deal with.

              Yeah at IUP.

He was not given a chance.

Real tough loss for ESU, my main question was whether Boro was going to be able to put up points on the Warriors and they did. Nico looked great and generally had his way with the defense. ESU didn't pick up anyone in the portal so they were really depending on guys stepping up internally, I guess they are still waiting because they looked outmatched. Need to turn things around quick because a loss to Pace would really turn the season sour before the division schedule even begins.

That was a gut punch to start the year for the Warriors. They have a pretty favorable slate though to bounce back here over the next few games. If they are serious on building on last year's progress they gotta beat Pace, Gannon and Lock Haven. A loss like this to start the year almost seems like the playoffs have started on their season now.

Clarion with a great opening night smackdown shut out. That's a big one for their program.

                  Seton Hill loses to Fairmont.

PSAC 1-1 vs the MEC. MEC 0-1 vs the GMAC (WL lost to Walsh).

The west could be setting up to be a buzzsaw. Boro looked like a problem on Saturdays for anyone they line up against in this league. Keep in mind that's a team with a lot of new faces and brand new schemes on both sides of the ball. Expect them to improve as the year goes along. If Seton hill had 5 more minutes they take down FSU as well. They dug themselves a deep hole early on but i think if those two teams played again, the Griffins come out on top against a team that i'd expect to challenge for the top spot in the MEC. I'll be interested to see what Gannon looks like this weekend but this is what i was expecting. I think the bottom half of the West has really taken some strides.

I ride or die with Edinboro football but boy was I wrong expecting this game to be the other way around. I was really baffled by Edinboro marching right down the field first possession. The back corner TD pass was nice but the laser dime for the 2PT was exceptional. I'm not sure if it was first game rust or what, but the Warriors looked overmatched by a team that should have been overmatched. Struggled to move the ball, Boro D line was great, and several boneheaded penalties. I like ESU and Jimmy T so hopefully things turn around soon because hopes are high in your world.

Agree. Usually there's a race at the top and a race at the bottom. I'm not sure the top teams improved as much as they lost whereas the bottom teams seemed to have done. Could be a wild wild west this year.

The PSAC is very much like the MAC - the resources are relatively even and the rosters are as well, making it really hard to build something from nothing.

                            Shocking results on first night:

Boro handling the highly touted Warriors

                            Clarion posting a shutout

Seton Hill being very competitive against a perceived good team

To be fair... a perceived good MEC team is more like a perceived average PSAC team.

McTaggart tried to put the team on his back, but it just wsn't enough. The Warriors need to find answers quickly. Only silly people get hooked on scoreboard messages
