I posted it on the GAC forum but SR3 had the 2,3,4,5,7 ranked teams who could win it,
    SR4 had 1, 9,10,12,15,16,NR in theirs.
It was always going to be that Mines got an easy path and SR3 teams needed to play basically a national championship caliber game the whole way through.

You are a hater. Show some respect to the teams who are still dancing and just sit back and enjoy the semifinals

      Go Mines

They were looking forward to a rematch, too bad GV couldn't make that happen. Oh sorry, I still wasn't invited.

Right?! This is so unfair. If Mines’ goalposts were taller there’s no way they could’ve beaten Augie or CWU.

Maybe after the Bisons beat LR next we can do something to wake them up.

Are you saying it would have been more competitive if gv had won?

No? I made no mention of GV lol. Even if GV had won today, they didn't have the offense to beat Mines.

You lost by 3 so clearly you must not think very highly of your own team. Besides the fact just because you couldn’t beat them doesn’t mean we can’t.

                    • The only close game today.
That old, "a shame somebody had to lose" cliche' sorta applies here.

Also .. It may be time to review "The Man" chronology.

Didn't mean it accusatorially...just wondering since it was posted after the game...

I understand we're down to our backup offensive linemen (Jordan Davis wasn't even playing in the 4th, he was replaced by Jaylin Caldwell, the usual RT, and someone new was playing RT), and Cade going out of the game pretty much spelled disaster. But Avery and Thole not knowing the game situations is wild.
A lot of folks in Pittsburg know exactly how you feel with the self inflicted injuries. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

I hated to see Peterson go down. He was just a gutsy SOB and fun to watch.

                          • Thanks for carrying the GLIAC flag into the ground today. 6 f..ing points. Didn’t recognize that offense that plays against us to this today. No screens, not running to right side where the DE was rushing wide every time. Was it too warm outside or you aren’t use to playing this far in playoffs. If I didn’t see the score and someone told me Harding scored 7 …I would have said you won 17-7 or 21-7…sucks that the GLIAC is out - good season for you guys and get the rivalry heated for next year.

I understand a lot of second guessing about today's game. I'm thinking there is info that few know about that influenced GV's play today. No matter. I do think the grind of this last month (Yes even starting with Davenport.. physical game) caught up with GV. Heck of a reward in the POs for being a #2 (and consensus #2 ranking in those meaningless polls) seed eh? And I think 8 of 11 opponents were ranked this season? It does matter, But true, there looked like there were opportunities lost today. On the whole, I'll take the season. First year coach with a team that started with a close road loss against a highly probable Natty participant? Not too shabby, but yes still disappointed... On to next year.

                              • Anyway, I just find it pretty interesting that the same officials have been involved in each of GV's last 3 losses.

Against Ferris in the playoffs in 2022, it was an RMAC crew. Cecil Harrison (Referee) and Corey Fobes (Back Judge) were on the crew. Ferris, the most penalized team in the country, had two penalties for 10 yards.

Against Mines earlier this year, Chris Miller (Head Linesman), Sean Burrow (Line Judge), and Corey Fobes (Back Judge) were on the crew.

And then today against Harding, it was Cecil Harrison (Referee), Chris Miller (Head Linesman), Sean Burrow (Line Judge), and Corey Fobes (Back Judge) on the crew again. And Harding has zero called penalties against them. Both penalties were delay of games they intentionally took.

So........seems a tad strange to me.
