Lack of class?? Like your players not heading straight to the locker room at half as they are supposed to and taunting ours as we pass by??? That’s what Simmons was fired up about as he well should have been. Referees need to keep them moving. I’m not knocking GVSU here because these are 18-23 yo kids but I’d say calling Harding showing lack of class….well, lack of class.

The gv players literally tried to go straight to the locker room and the referees stopped them because the visitors are supposed to go first.

Harding players were trash talking all through pregame. Both teams were full of idiots.

HU is typically a very classy group, their head coach especially. One can easily say that GV was the instigator in all of this with how bad they were being embarrassed on their own field. Yankees tend to do that.

GV was getting manhandled on both sides of the ball and the coaches booth. It was a complete beat down from every angle minus the one special teams mishap. If you watch the replay some redshirt wearing 90 something had words with coach Simmons at the end of the game.

Those kids are lucky their pride was all that was hurt. I thought those Michigan boys would be tougher than that but they are soft. Mentally and physically.

I have little doubt both teams did their fair share of talking. That’s why it was nothing but a little bit of extra entertainment for me. It happens. It’s football.

It's just part of the game. The couple of GV pearl clutchers who comment about it do so all the time. GV does lots of chirping and post whistle shoving just like everyone else.

If done well, it's an art form.

I just think it's stupid we're sitting here talking about this when it happens in almost every playoff game lol. None of the teams in this region are familiar with losing. So they all lash out when they do. And some teams when winning do it because they're not used to winning. It applies to everyone universally across the entire sport. I wish teams that got beat would just take their medicine like men and not be idiots, but that's a lot to ask from 17-24 year olds on a football field where they're taught to be killers. Both teams had idiots not acting right, from before the game, to well after the game, and every spot in-between.

Hate to spoil it, but whoever loses next weekend is going to also do stupid things, no matter who it is.

Hahahahha I’ve heard a lot but Harding being thugs? It’s a private Christian university, those men aren’t anything but winners. GV wanted to start some fights, so Harding obliged. If you want a respectful butt whoopin, be respectful. Looks like the bullies got bullied and didn’t take it well.

I hate to say it, but it seems clear that GV has dropped to a tier below the top teams in this region. They weren't even competitive against Ferris or Harding this year. Now whether that's an offensive line issue, a QB issue, a coaching issue, a skill talent issue, I don't know. But there's something clearly missing.

I'm not sure why this would eliminate your team from being thugs lol. The most abhorrent actions of people in this country come from this exact group lol. Anyway, that's not here nor there, both teams were at fault.

I heard quite a few of your own fans being pretty crude on the way out of the stadium talking amongst themselves. Rules for thee, not for me, I guess.

(Also, not sure how GV are the "bullies" of anything in this situation. GV hasn't won anything since before most of these players could walk at this point, and you're the defending national champion. So it seems like quite the projection to think you're being bullied by anyone and not the ones doing the bullying lol)

Additionally, your own coach is constantly acting like an ******* in every post-game press conference I've ever seen of the dude, but you all are quick to defend him on everything lol. Guy is always making excuses for everything, even when winning. Pretty sure last weekend he was complaining about how Pitt State handled being hosts of the game and threw some poor faculty member under the bus lol.

Typically in these situations, you look at the time when the scuffles occurred. Almost every scuffle started after a big play from Harding. Everyone from the watch party at my place thought it was sour grapes from GVSU. Of course we were not there to see everything unfold. I do know that I’ve watched HU football since football was invented by Coach Huck around 2010 and this is one of the first times I’ve EVER heard HU’s class be questioned.

To me I don’t really care about what happened between the players on the field because as Divisiontwo said that’s football. Unless any of you were actually on the field and could hear the convos then when things get chippy no one knows who started or said what. What I do think is that it’s mighty presumptuous to be sitting in front of a TV or in the stands and making a statement about the character of the other team’s players and coaches. From my personal experience playing it’s typically more often the losing team that starts running its mouth, but again I don’t know that so just leave it where it belongs which is on the field. Congratulate ea other for being 2 of the best teams in the country and not stoop to the level of kids by name calling.
