KleShreen come on now, again outside perceptions without really knowing someone. Coach Simmons is one of the finer men I know. Let’s don’t take a good week of friendly back and forth banter and a game where both teams gave it all they had and wonder off down a rabbit hole

I think they are on to something guys. I kinda like this thug rebrand.Originally posted by tip79 View PostI was really surprised with the lack of class on the part of Harding's players and coaches. This is from 2023, about Oklahoma recruiting Division II women's golfers at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship. I'm not sure why you're taking issue with this, or what it has to do with anything today.Originally posted by debergfanGV AD that was crying on X/Twitter for tampering. How many people are on full rides on their team, 50?

I can make unfounded claims, as well. Why does Harding allegedly have 80 guys on full rides?Originally posted by debergfan
GVSU has ethos of whining. GVSU has a tendency to complain. Here are two examples of that, if you want more, I'll list it. By the way, GVSU, did anyone even report the alleged tampering? Probably not, more whining. GVSU has allegedly 50 guys on full rides and still couldn't get it done.
(The whining looks even worse coming from the team that wins)
In any case, I'm not sure how pointing out an obvious dumb situation is "whining" lol.
I told all of you for the last week what was going to happen in this game, and exactly what I said would happen, happened.2021 D2Football Fantasy Champion

Or 50 guys that have a partial athletic scholarship and partial academic scholarship, plus what FAFSA may give?
All of that combined can turn into a full ride.

Totally agree. I didn't see that last year in Searcy. What happened to these Bisons? Win a Natty and bam? It wasn't just the HC, seemed like a ton of Bison were chirping and worse. Take that unsportsmanlike on GV's late PAT for example. Last year I had a ton of respect for them. After today, I threw that out.Originally posted by tip79 View PostI was really surprised with the lack of class on the part of Harding's players and coaches. The head coach was a real whiner. Harding deserved the win today. I won't go further than that.
Still, thanks Lakers for supplying a fun season to us fans. And for the most part, doing it the right way.

Still think it’s pretty funny that a bunch of “grown men” are going to take pot shots at kids for chirping on the field. 3 observations about this…1) you can’t chirp by yourself it takes 2, 2) it’s part of fb…have any of you ever actually played?, 3) how do you know from the stands or in front of a TV who started it because in my playing days it was almost always the sore losers who ran their mouth first.Originally posted by Redwing View Post

It shouldn’t have happened by either team, but it almost always does every game whether you see it or not. The bigger issue here is adults taking pot shots at young kids and their coach. I’ll raise you on your comment. I had a great deal of respect for the GVSU fans until tonight. You’re sore losers and you know what at this point wish we’d left in the ones on both sides of the ball and beat you by 60 because it could have easily happened. Enjoy the off season

I have no dog in the fight, but let’s slow down on using the term “young kids.”Originally posted by BisonOL View Post

These players are not kids, and are definitely not “young kids.”
The players probably range between 18-23 years old. These are young men, not kids.
I understand what you’re trying to write, but “kids” is not the description to use.RESPECT THE STATESMEN, FEAR THE OKRA!

Yea, that's a thing I'm not a big fan of, either. The bigger problem is that football, by nature, is a violent sport that requires the attitude of feeling you're superior to everyone around you, physically. So this kind of stuff is going to happen no matter what. The next football team I see that never has a single player be disrespectful towards someone else on the field of play, will be the first. Both of these teams are high-level teams who do a lot of winning and not a lot of losing. So when they lose they're gonna feel a type of way. And when they are winning, they're gonna feel a type of way. And those two attitudes tend to look one in the same between the lines.Originally posted by CalifOKRA View PostI have no dog in the fight, but let’s slow down on using the term “young kids.”

And it's dumb that this argument has gone on for 3 pages when it is stuff that happens in almost every single football game lol. It's two teams who beat the **** out of each other last year, Harding feels disrespected for having to go on the road in the playoffs, and from what I have seen, apparently that's the fault of everyone they have to travel to, and GV feels disrespected because they got their asses beat and don't usually have that happen, although it tends to be happening more often lately. So this is what happens.Last edited by KleShreen; 11-30-2024, 09:51 PM.2021 D2Football Fantasy Champion

Well guess it’s relative. Being that I have grandchildren they are young kids to me. Were any of us really the men at 18-23 that you are now? Maybe some I suppose, but most grow up and act like menOriginally posted by CalifOKRA View PostI have no dog in the fight, but let’s slow down on using the term “young kids.”

I really wasn’t ever going to talk about the end of game stuff until people started calling HU thugs. I always ran a little hot during games- so I’m the last guy to throw shade against those who step over the line. it was pretty freaking obvious what was happening out there, and I dont really care if GV players were doin a little extra… BUT the outrage over Harding players giving it back is silly. GV lost, let them be pissed, I would be.Originally posted by KleShreen View Post

I mean there's no agreement until everyone agrees that almost always, it is both sides doing it. Both teams were talking **** pre-game when both teams were entering and exiting the field, before any fans were even in the stadium. Both teams are at fault. It wasn't GV just doing it because they were losing. Everything was happening from both sides before the game even started. Was GV doing it late in the game more because they were losing? Probably. But then Harding guys would respond, rightfully so, by pointing at the scoreboard. But who cares lol.Originally posted by LeftSider View Post

The funniest part of the whole thing to me was that Ian Kennelly left the game 4 times with a dislocated shoulder. They just popped it back in every time. And then at the end of the game during one of the skirmishes, he throws his hand up in the air while yelling at someone, and dislocates it again lololol. I mean the guy has a shot at the NFL, so hopefully he gets healthy before the testing phase starts up, but I thought that was so funny lol.2021 D2Football Fantasy Champion

I agree 100% Kle! My issue is having grown men calling our players and coaches thugs. InappropriateOriginally posted by KleShreen View Post
