These players are not kids, and are definitely not “young kids.”
The players probably range between 18-23 years old. These are young men, not kids.

I understand what you’re trying to write, but “kids” is not the description to use.
Yea, that's a thing I'm not a big fan of, either. The bigger problem is that football, by nature, is a violent sport that requires the attitude of feeling you're superior to everyone around you, physically. So this kind of stuff is going to happen no matter what. The next football team I see that never has a single player be disrespectful towards someone else on the field of play, will be the first. Both of these teams are high-level teams who do a lot of winning and not a lot of losing. So when they lose they're gonna feel a type of way. And when they are winning, they're gonna feel a type of way. And those two attitudes tend to look one in the same between the lines.

And it's dumb that this argument has gone on for 3 pages when it is stuff that happens in almost every single football game lol. It's two teams who beat the **** out of each other last year, Harding feels disrespected for having to go on the road in the playoffs, and from what I have seen, apparently that's the fault of everyone they have to travel to, and GV feels disrespected because they got their asses beat and don't usually have that happen, although it tends to be happening more often lately. So this is what happens.

Well guess it’s relative. Being that I have grandchildren they are young kids to me. Were any of us really the men at 18-23 that you are now? Maybe some I suppose, but most grow up and act like men

I really wasn’t ever going to talk about the end of game stuff until people started calling HU thugs. I always ran a little hot during games- so I’m the last guy to throw shade against those who step over the line. it was pretty freaking obvious what was happening out there, and I dont really care if GV players were doin a little extra… BUT the outrage over Harding players giving it back is silly. GV lost, let them be pissed, I would be.

I think this is the first thing we’ve actually agreed on Kle. Since we’ve become such buds, You wanna join my Clash of Clans clan?

I mean there's no agreement until everyone agrees that almost always, it is both sides doing it. Both teams were talking **** pre-game when both teams were entering and exiting the field, before any fans were even in the stadium. Both teams are at fault. It wasn't GV just doing it because they were losing. Everything was happening from both sides before the game even started. Was GV doing it late in the game more because they were losing? Probably. But then Harding guys would respond, rightfully so, by pointing at the scoreboard. But who cares lol.

The funniest part of the whole thing to me was that Ian Kennelly left the game 4 times with a dislocated shoulder. They just popped it back in every time. And then at the end of the game during one of the skirmishes, he throws his hand up in the air while yelling at someone, and dislocates it again lololol. I mean the guy has a shot at the NFL, so hopefully he gets healthy before the testing phase starts up, but I thought that was so funny lol.

I agree 100% Kle! My issue is having grown men calling our players and coaches thugs. Inappropriate

100%. I’m sure both sides will look Back and think “man that was pretty stupid” for half a second then move on. It’s a football game. It’s violent by nature. Again, nothing but some added entertainment for me. It’s a non issue. See yall next year in the playoffs.

                • All this chatter after this game about the players. Just wait till they travel to Big Rapids. I think the bulldogs like to talk a little more than the lakers, so that will be interesting. It’s part of football but it’s the one part that stresses me out as it can change the flow of a game pretty quickly if they’re not careful.

Kle I am glad that you find humor in a kid trying his absolute best to help his team and going back in time after time when the average guy says well thats it , I gotta protect myself, screw the team.

                    • Any idea if the NCAA will take any action on the Harding HC for going after the NCAA site rep at halftime. I know that David Sharp might not be their favorite neighbor but the NCAA has sportsmanship rules that start at the selection show and go forward. Be interesting if there is any actions. Good luck to Harding going forward, they earned in on the field. And thanks for buying up most of the propane tanks in the area for your sideline heaters and tents.

Do you have any proof of this? Hahaha you and Kle both said Simmons said things but when I watch interviews, there’s nothing about hating on Pitt staff or GV staff. “Going after a site rep” what does that even mean? With a knife??

                          • The problem with Harding is on one hand they want to give off a straight-laced, holier than though persona, which backfires when they're on the field trash talking. Unlike my Bulldogs who are clean shaven and straight as arrows, I think this Harding group has gone off the rails and lost their identity.

You guys still have that rule that you get suspended if the opposite sex sleeps on your couch? I knew the Bison escaped the herd when I watched a home game of theirs and they were playing that ugly forsaken rap music with all of their musty, dirty lyrics before a game and during halftime. I even seen a young man in the crowd with hair a quarter inch too long. I gasped in righteous judgement. Is this not the last sanctity of civility in d2 football? Are they playing their flute like the Pied Piper and leading us to the river like mice to drown us?

Ugghh the agony. Once again it falls upon the young men at Ferris to show that honor, respect and sportsmanship can be displayed on the field while playing a high level of competitive pigskin. The burden, yet heavy, is once again thrust upon us. Therefore young Bulldogs...Go! Be the beacon of uprightness and prestige that these vandals have abdicated. Proclaim to the all of the subscribers of ESPN+ that young men of renown still stride across the gridiron doing battle with dignity and esteem in Division 2 Football.

                            Viva Big Rapids!!!

I can promise you the most respected group on Harding’s campus is the Football team. Every single guy is on the front row and taking notes during class- and if they’re not they are disciplined and then kicked off the team. A vast minority of players are church of Christ, but they still obey the rules or at least don’t openly defy them. It’s about respect and sacrificing short term joy for long term gain.

harding doesn’t play music that glorifies gang violence, abusing women, or doing drugs. Players listen to it for sure but they aren’t blasting it in the locker room or out on the field. Players can be different people but they put the team first, and when they don’t they get in trouble. FSU is all about being the star of the show.

                              Harding by 28.

Hahahahahaha this is funny. Reading your post makes it sound like Coach was throwing haymakers at halftime. We got some straight up sore losers from our friends up north.
