Not sure why UCM can't just set up a home and home with Grand Valley. Are they still available either week 1 or week 0?

Someone is going to have to schedule outside the region (likely GSC?) or take on a FCS game. So far the LSC has 3 FCS games scheduled and thats likely to rise with Western Oregon. Hopefully GV and Ferris can still score a game even though its a likely butt kicking for the LSC but beats the alternative of a game not counting towards SOS.
Really sounds like the LSC shot themselves in the foot in booting Simon Fraser out of the league. Means they gotta hunt for just that many more games, plus screws Central Washington and Western Oregon out of a game they could actually bus too instead of flying.

Hey there! Simon Fraser dropped football and excused themselves.

It sucks for them because 10+ years ago they had teams out there with Western Washington, Humboldt State, Azusa Pacific, Simon Fraser, Sonoma State, Dixie State, Central Washington, and Western Oregon to sustain their own conference.

You guys listed almost all the Gliac teams, but left out Pitt State.

Sonoma State dropped football in 1996, three years before Central and WOU moved up to DII.

WWU dropped football in 2009. Humboldt in 2018. APU in 2020.

FWC used to have an awesome football league with Chico, Davis, Sonoma SF State, Sac State, Sonoma, Humboldt and others.

Central has been all over the place in their post Columbia Football League life...

Someone should tell their media team that Rio Grande is actually in Ohio... Not that that's any less confusing, though

11 games for the first time in I don't know how many regular seasons. I'll take it.

Rio Grande is a combo Jr College and NAIA four year school. About 900 kids attend this school. I would guess this should be over by 7:30 left in the 1st quarter...LOL. But what the hell a game is a game. I know how hard it is to find anyone that will play Ferris or GVSU...best teams in other conferences would rather that an open date that get paid well to come play in Allendale or get paid and play GVSU at home. I would imagine that Ferris has the same problems. Hey if you get 6k butts in the seats at 10 each you might break even after paying these guys...maybe they are a deal.

Western Colorado posted their 2025 schedule with non-conference games vs. West Texas and at Midwestern State:

                          https://gomountaineers.com/sports/fo.../schedule/2025

WTAMU will host Colorado Mines on September 4:

                          https://gobuffsgo.com/sports/football/schedule/2025

That leaves three probable open dates left among LSC schools (Western Oregon with two, CWU with one), one open MIAA date (Central Missouri) and Colorado Mesa with one, which hasn't confirmed their schedule.

EDIT: Not officially confirmed, but it appears that Central Washington will play Colorado Mesa, but since neither team has posted their schedules yet, I'm not saying it's official yet. Also, Western Oregon will play NAIA Southern Oregon (per SOU's schedule) and The California Polytechnic State University (comma) San Luis Obispo (or, if you prefer, Cal Poly), so we can take the LSC off that list.

The updated SR4 non-conference availability as of March 28:

                          LSC: No openings
MIAA: 1 opening (Central Missouri - schedule has not been posted)
                          RMAC: No openings
                          GAC: No openings (silo schedule)

Yeah its pretty much 99% that Central Washington and Mesa play at Central Washington since they played at Mesa this year.

Mesa is rumored to play Eastern New Mexico and Central Washington Non Conference.

This will be the first year for Rio Grande having football!
