If you don't win fans don't show and your program will suffer. And if you don't make money with football what happens to the rest of your athletics.

What happen to orginal miaa. They left to go have some measure of success. If people don't eat they don't stick around for ever. Ten team super star conference is just not realistic it's a fools dream

Also uco will leave d2. It's just a matter of time nsu leaving only happens after that
You have credible info that UCO is headed to D1?

I could be wrong, but these sound like the rumors that were going on about Central Missouri since the Mules and Jennies both won the 1984 basketball championships. I just don't see a current MIAA school making the move to D-I. What conference will they compete in? Where will the money come from to at least double their budget?

This rumor has been around for at least 10 years. Probably longer.

MIAA won 5 national titles, just last academic year

Only problem with that is where would nsu play football. Lsc I'd out and GAC isn't built for that. Glvc is not even a geographic option.

Uco just dropped 14 million on a performance center in football stadium. In last few years redid baseball and softball fields. It has 15 k. Students and is in a major metro area. Has 14 sports and already has d1sports of wrestling and rowing.

The key for them is a good football season

              Southland would be best guess

Umm. All those teams are in the conference now. all but a couple have been doing what you described for nearly 30 years. Not everyone sees running away as the only way to compete.

LSC is about their only option.

                    Re: Welcome, Rogers State University

Lincoln is kind of a special case. They don't fit anywhere. They are small, with little money. They are a bad fit for the MIAA due to the competition and a bad fit for the GLVC due to a lack of money to provide all the required sports.

Add to that the fact that they want their money games against the bigger time HBU's, and it's a pretty unique situation.

Well, maybe their 2018 win over NW will be one step closer to getting them there!

Are their HBCU's that are NAIA? Because that is my opinion on the direction they should go (and where William Jewell should go back to...).

Lincoln doesn't fit that is obvious.

This is a new day. To keep up with Pitt and nw. Schools make major investments with mainly alum money. Go 2-9 and see how that goeswith alums.
What happened at Pitt since they have had 4 loss years you yourself haven't been happy with staff for a few years.

When is last time miaa has had a team get out with an undefeated season so they can get the easier road to NC game

If Lincoln and nsu. Go. How long will moso and unk survive at 0 and 11

My point isn't that it's ok to be bad it's that conference needs to find a way to help all schools prosper. And silo schedule isn't it. But niether is forcing teams out

I think Langston and Bacone are NAIA

Bacone is a native American Christian college not a hbc. There are a couple others in Texas that play in old central states football which I think merged into sooner conf.
