2009 only one MIAA team made the POs. It was NW, and they won it all.

Ferris beat Grand Valley when the Bulldogs were banged up and GV was healthy. Grand Valley thumped Indy pretty good when they were both healthy. Indy beat our conference champ (a team that beat us). Yes, we beat GV, but they were with a top WR and had a hurt backup playing QB for part of the game). Ferris has a more explosive offense than we've seen all year, and a playmaker at QB that could give our D a lot of trouble. Plus the back and forth travel has to be a drain on the Bearcats. This isn't '07, where we get to host a GLIAC team that arguably should be at home. It"s similar, because the GLIAC team is undefeated, but that's where the similarities end... unless Ferris has to travel to Arkansas next week, then it would be more similar; one undefeated team playing at the other, where the stronger team is on the road but the home team has an outside shot to win.

Not sure how well transitive property works in the playoffs, but I don't think it applies here. Our injuries are real and our performance last week is on tape..and tape don't lie. I'll give you the back and forth travel, that can be a hassle, but at the same time you guys should have your routine down. We need to load the box to stop the run, but our secondary is susceptible to the deep ball (see GV and SVSU games). Our passing game is play action based and depends on our run game success which depends on our QB being healthy, which he isn't. Like I said, we'll hang for a half but i think it's over after that.

A really good running QB is the closest thing the NW D-schemers have to an achilles heel. They have occasionally had trouble stopping trhem.

The problem with what you said is this. Sure in 04 Lambo was hurt and we had Race, but in 05 at Arrowhead Lambo played and we totally destroyed NW that day. That was also the day Race hurt his hamstring. Then in the playoff game in 05 NW had Lambo but Pitt was without Race in NW won. So with a healthy Lambo and Race, Pitt kicked the crap out of NW. Keep reaching using that tired half truth, it doesn't hold water.

Wow, ok, if we want to play that game... PSU barely hung on to beat NW in 04 at Arrowhead when we were down to our 3rd string QB. I'm comfortable saying NW wins that game with a healthy Lambo based on how he started the year. FWIW, PSU smashed NW @ Arrowhead in 05 and I will never argue that.

Anyway, my original post was a joke, chillax, and have a great Thanksgiving.
