Aside from the big run on play 1, Pitt's D did pretty good against a fantastic NW rushing attack.

Certainly true, but I still wouldn’t say anyone underestimated anyone. PSU did a great job rallying to the ball with multiple tacklers. That seemed to be the issue on more than one fumble. NW didn’t secure the ball well while PSU attacked it. That doesn’t mean they underestimated them.Originally posted by Predatory Primates View PostAside from the big run on play 1, Pitt's D did pretty good against a fantastic NW rushing attack.

Interestingly, Pitt has not been good at forcing fumbles this year. I am guessing the Pitt staff saw some NW ball handling sloppiness there and worked on it in practice this week.

Congrats to PSU & NWMSU on their MIAA titles and good luck to both in the playoffs(unless there’s a rematch). Good news is NW gets to add 2 more items to the ‘Wall of Fame’ on the west stands after a 2 yr hiatus.

I agree I liked it at Sporting KC. I thought it was a good venue.Originally posted by Squat Corner Gorilla View PostIt was fun to have that atmosphere again. Fall Classics back in the day were always a goodtime even though NW won most of them. It was good to see a W with that atmosphere.
