Literally right after the championship game it was reported Jackson was taking the Prairie View A&M job.

During the game, I believe I heard an announcer mention that Jackson hired 11 coaches and brought in 60 transfers.

It doesn't seem like PVAM is much of an upgrade, if any, over Valdosta State. They do have a nice $60mm stadium though.

Here's their schedule from last year. Being blown out by Incarnate Word is not impressive. However they did get by Commerce.

Take the money!!! U doubt he’ll have any success at Prairie View. If he he has one decent season and his talent is seen on the field the big boys will lure them to the transfer portal asap.

Last HC got a schooling on this. Little NIL $$$ to keep talent.

Besides that, PVAM doesn’t have a tradition of winning either.

One would have to be an absolute fool to turn down the opportunity and the money it comes with. To think it's not an upgrade is wild. Say he's there 3 years, that's experience at that level plus an extra $300k of income. Sounds like an easy choice.
