That 92-0 game still irritates me, especially since Lincoln doesn’t seem to be concerned with improving the program. It’s a safety hazard for those kids.
Anyway, did a little digging and it turns out Simon Fraser had recently driven the final nail into the coffin that holds their football program. Oh well.

They had a WR that scored several touchdowns against several teams which accounted for most of their scoring.
That being said I am not sure they could even beat a D3 school at this stage.

To Lincoln's credit, they actually do have a couple of wins under their belt: they beat D3 Willamette in 2021, and they beat D3 Hilbert and D2 Bluefield State (ouch...) in 2022. They actually stomped Hilbert 70-0, if you can believe it.
Of those though, Willamette hasn't gotten more than 3 wins in a season since 2014, and the other two had just restarted their programs and were playing their first and second ever seasons, respectively. So that's about the skill level that the Oaklanders are at

North American recently shut down their program, so UTRGV might have a new open week soon.

That game would have taken place on 9/13. That might have made sense for Lincoln to take that open date if they werent already playing Arkansas-Pine Bluff since they are already in Texas to play Kingsville on 9/6. Too bad this didnt line up for both Kingsville and UTRGV to play each other.
