    The ONLY plus for them to make a move would be the increase in competition level. They have a pretty great situation right now in the GPAC. Not only is it a good level for them, but they're pretty centrally located within a smaller footprint. Of their 11 conference road trips, three are closer than a road trip to Wayne, five of them are closer than a road trip to Sioux Falls, and 10 are closer than a road trip to Fayette.

    I've talked with several Morningside-connected folks too.....they love where they are at right now, competitive across the board in virtually everything at the NAIA level. No strong desire to return to D2

    I, among others, have talked to Morningside people (including coaches) at length about this. They love where they are at now and claim no interest in D2. They like having success in football and remember when they were the NCC doormat.
