This. At least when they played this year it was the regional final. The way D2 is set up there are too many of these first round matchups.

Agree. Regional final rematch is no big deal. It’s those pesky first rounders that are incredibly annoying.

Correct. Just like they used to do before all of the silo scheduling. Which is actually interesting because basically every position has been turned over since then at both schools.....new football regimes, new ADs, new presidents, everything....

Wow, Bemidji is the only game that's farther than a 3-hour drive....

Two trips to Sioux Falls for the South road games and trips to both Bismarck and Jamestown.

Yeah, I knew that was going to be the case. At least it's a home game I suppose, but I don't like the NSIC "non-conference" games. I see Black Hills listed on the D2 Football classifieds page. Northern and BHSU should have made that phone call yesterday for a home and home in 2026-2027.

Selfishly I wanted Northern to play someone not in the NSIC. But they are playing SMSU as they can make it a day trip. Saves quite a bit of money. I assume the Jamestown game is a day trip as well. Those two games probably save them 10k+

Tough schedule for USF. Lots of windshield time. At Black Hills, Bemidji, and Minot. . Also a 4 game stretch in week 2,3,4,5 . Bemidji, Duluth, Mankato and Augie . Will have a good idea how things shake out before the midpoint. I have never been to Spearfish. Lots to do and see?
