Mav women's series with Lindenwood is postponed. They have no goalies. Tried to play forwards there last week- lost 7-0 & 13-1 to Syracuse. At least they are trying to make them up Jan 31-Feb 1, but nothing for sure. They canceled a game with SCSU before they played Syracuse.

Some big sweeps by Bowling Green and Mankato this past weekend! Hopefully those will help out the WCHA's Pairwise ranking come tournament selection time.

I think it is more of a case that they don't want to be left holding the bag if/when the other 7 schools depart and the Alaskas (one or both) end up folding up shop. There is still a lot of uncertainty in Alaska's budget situation, even though the Board of Trustees has said that both Alaska teams will be there for the 20-21 season. After that, it is still a crap shoot, which I think is why the seven, now eight, other schools have announced their intentions.

It also gets UAH out of any fines that may have been put on them by the league (or what was left of it) come 21-22 when the seven do leave and then UAH decides they want out.

The Beavers split this weekend's series at Ferris State, losing 2-1 on Friday night and winning on Saturday night 4-1. I know it is early in the year, but that Friday loss could be big considering the standings.

    Current WCHA Standings:

    1 Minnesota State 15 Pts 6 GP
Northern Michigan 15 Pts 6 GP
    Alaska 15 Pts 8 GP
    4 Bemidji State 12 Pts 6 GP
Bowling Green 12 Pts 6 GP
    6 Michigan Tech 9 Pts 8 GP
    7 Alaska Anchorage 8 Pts 6 GP
8 Lake Superior State 6 Pts 6 GP
    9 Ferris State 3 Pts 6 GP
    10 Alabama Huntsville 1 Pts 6 GP

Yes, and the unanswered question, what is going to happen to them and UAH?
