What a great performance from IUP. They were tough, and their leaders took over down the stretch. They laid it on the line.

They can use the few days off, but anything is possible with this group. Looks like a trip back to my old stomping grounds is in order. See you back in Columbus IUP24.

I did some digging... And just like that I am reminded of why it stinks to be a D2 fan. The Elite 8 is being played at Alumni Hall. The gymnasium on the campus of Ohio Dominican University. It's a nice gym, but about the size of the Memorial Field House.

No Nationwide Arena.. No Schottenstein Center..

I know they wouldn't fill either of those venues up, but it's cool to feel in that moment as a fan that you're at a big time event. The venue has a large part in that. I remember walking into the Ford Center in Evansville a few years ago. The lights seemed brighter. Going up an escalator walking in was just really cool. Seeing an big open concourse was awesome. Security and metal detectors at the front doors told you where you were at was important. You don't get that same feeling walking into a gym of a school with an enrollment of less than 2,000 students.

ODU is where I am working on my master's degree, so I can't say anything negative about the school. Just wish they chose a different venue.

Atmosphere at Glenville tonight sounded wild albiet with a small crowd. Little different than the old KCAC.

They actually played real music, too. No offense to that old Lady in Red.
