Wow, I thought Claflin would've fallen back by now. Other than the top three, the regional could be a crap shoot.

Add to it (3) of WSSU's wins are non-D2.

With East Stroudsburg and West Virginia State both in awkward funks ... chaos is looming.

Love chaos, especially since IUP will not be apart of it. lol

The 'current' No. 2 slot is interesting. Mercyhurst is probably above West Liberty right now.

The Lakers' loss to Millersville doesn't look nearly as bad now and West Liberty has that loss to Wheeling.

I'd be alright with Hurst being on the other side of the bracket.

I'd love for IUP to play them or UPJ yet again. It's fun watching a coach yell a play and the other coach immediately yelling out the counter play.

UPJ was calling out some of IUP's sets before Joe did the other night. Lol. I honestly think if Joe tossed the playbook the other night and just said go get 'em ... IUP could have blown them out of the gym. But, instead, he prefers to play a slow game at their pace when they know every play you call and run all night.

Joe, Rukavina and Gary have coached against each other so many times ... even the second game of the year can be painful to watch let alone the third or fourth.

IUP vs Cal last year 4 times was different. Those were fast-paced, exciting games.

I don't think I could stomach watching IUP vs UPJ four times in one year.

With some tough games left, including against each other, Ship, Millersville, and Lock Haven are really on life support. Too many losses and too many teams ahead of them.

Yeah ... and just wait until Cal, Glenville and Fayetteville win the three conference tournaments.

Wild guess here but the metrics-based rankings will be fairly different.

That's chaotic. With Virginia Union in seemingly good position for an at-large, one of those "other" decent teams in that league could be in strong position to get an automatic bid from the tournament. Rough news for the 7-10 crowd. Does a run for WV State or Charleston in the MEC tournament push them ahead of anyone in the 6-8 slots? Lot to still be sorted out.

We say this every single year, but the Atlantic is tough, deep region. It may not have the plethora of "great" teams that the region NW Missouri State is in has, but there's a variety of teams that are exceptionally good doing what they do. And it makes it a tough region to come out of. You may get through West Liberty playing a break neck pace in round 1, but you may turn around the next evening and play a snooze fest against Mercyhurst.

I think IUP is the best in the Atlantic this year, but it doesn't mean they win three games in a row in mid-March. Especially considering their recent slump. I've always been enamored with the multitude of ways that teams/coaches approach playing in this region. I'm not sure any region in the country has what we have in terms of the diversity of styles at the top of the food-chain. West Liberty is exceptional every year at their unique game. So is Mercyhurst. Those two could not be any different. IUP is the adaptable hybrid that can beat you in a number of different ways, but always seems to do it with stingy defensive efforts.
