A painful season down at Bowie State finally ended.

After seeing them live earlier in the year ... their record baffles me. I thought that was at least a .500 team.

Bowie has baffled me for a few seasons now. They have talent but it translate to the court.

You're probably correct. If they'd make the final and lose, who knows what could happen. But, the 'bubble' is a mess right now.

I'd say VSU ... if it can't win the tourney, sure wants VU to win it. If a Fayetteville-type wins it, VSU is definitely out.

I can promise you there are some real nervous teams watching the always-unpredictable CIAA Tournament right now. If anybody but VU wins it ... it's going to cause chaos for many PSAC and MEC bubble teams.

Our old friend, Jerrod Calhoun, currently of Youngstown State and formerly of Fairmont State, is getting a lot of buzz for much larger jobs.

The Penguins are 22-7 and a game away from a conference title. There is talk he's going to be a serious candidate for several P5 jobs at the conclusion of this season.

If memory serves, Mr Calhoun took quite a bit of flack on this board for taking the Youngstown job. Think the line was that it was a nothing job at a nothing school and that he could NEVER win there..

I had the top 8 correct in order... surprised to see Millersville in at 9th.

It looks like the factor that might have put Millersville 9th is their win over Mercyhurst – the best win of any of the contenders for that position – coupled with a second ranked win over West Chester.
