While there are 4-5 schools that have been hit pretty hard, the conference looks relatively stable overall so far. We'll have to see if it continues.

Even bad rosters can have players who contribute to winning basketball, or would fill a specific niche on a better team, but are miscast on their current team. I’m not sure how many of BU’s guys fit that description; maybe Naugle or Smucker could serve as 3-point bench guys on a better squad.

What a joke college sports has become. Guys can be college eligible for life for crying out loud.

There effectively minor league mercenaries so why not? Cut the teams free of the college they are supposed to represent and let them become the equivalent of the Savannah Bananas or the Globetrotters.

Dallis obviously must have won his appeal. Good for him. There's no reason for him to play another year down here in the bus leagues.

Christian, however, is a bit more complicated. I don't know that he can go back 'up' without having to sit out a year? Surely he wouldn't just go to another D2?

Regardless, odd all around. Both circumstances.

Yeah, certainly no reason to harbor bad feelings toward these guys. They gave a lot to IUP. The system is what it is, play as long as they’ll let you if that’s what you want to do.

I’ve just lost all connection with the IUP men’s team at this point. Part of it is this stuff and part of it has to do with other factors. I didn’t see any of the players on the men’s team supporting the women’s team in the Elite 8. Maybe there were a couple I didn’t see, but what I did see is nearly the entire football team, soccer, lacrosse, etc. This has been brought up in other circles. I saw Tort there. Anyone see Joe? I didn’t.

Joe was there standing in the corner overlooking the court. There was basically a counter with three chairs right in front of the area that all of the IUP students were occupying. That's where he was at.
