If USI gets in the system needs to be reevaluated.
Well, I would probably agree with that but I guess what I meant to say was I don't think it's possible for USI to be in if ODU wins that one. If Hillsdale wins, or if no other upsets occur in GLVC or GLIAC tourneys, then I wouldn't be that surprised if USI still squeaked in. Not saying it would be deserved, just that it wouldn't be surprising, to me at least.
Just crunched some numbers. Regardless of the outcome of UIndy/Maryville (at halftime now), USI comes in 10th in the PI. Whoever wins tonight pulls ahead of USI. Although it is a VERY tight pack from places 7 thru 15, so it's going to ultimately be up to the committee to weigh each team.
Also, BU has now snuck into 1st place by the PIs (#2 nationally) with Ferris right behind at #3 nationally.
1. Ferris State (28-1, 26-1) - won 113-84 vs. Saginaw Valley at home; hosts Ashland Saturday 2. Findlay (23-3, 22-3) - won 87-56 vs. Kentucky Wesleyan at home; lost 66-68 vs Ohio Dominican at home 3. Bellarmine (22-2, 21-2) - won 70-65 vs. William Jewell (neutral); plays UIndy Saturday 4. Lake Superior State (21-6, 19-6) - won 73-65 vs. Grand Valley at home; plays Michigan Tech Saturday 5. So no matter what happens this weekend is Lake State #4 and Findlay #3? Places 5-8 to be determined?
GLIAC quarter finals are at four separate sites at the homes of the higher seeds then the semis and finals are at the home of the highest remaining seed.
