      I mostly agree, too. But I'm reserving judgment on West Chester until I see them in person Nov. 10. Fun fact regarding that game: if the East was the host this year, my trip to that game would be under an hour. But since the West is the host, I have a drive of more than 5 hours.

        If we look back at last year for a base, IUP throttled West Chester in the PSAC title game and throttled them again week 1 of the playoffs. If that gives you a base to go off of.

          Two moments changed everything:

          * The worst playcall in IUP history at the end of the Cal game

          * 4th and 7 to beat SRU

          The rest is history.

            Take a regional flight. Will cost you about the same in gas $$.

              Very true. What gives me pause is we played them last year, too, and only beat them by 7.

                The all-time series has been close, too. We lead 10-8.

Those teams historically get dirt rolled come playoff time. ugh!

                  Every year. Honestly IUP would roll Fairmont State again. But we got saddled with crappy East teams again and we had no room to lose and then they did.

                        You couldn't beat the teams in the West. Don't blame that on the Eastern teams...Keep moving the goalposts though. I'm enjoying it...

                            True, but looking at the rankings, i'd guess that one 9-2 team will get in at #7 - which 2 loss team in the region gets in. ODU has two SOS killers on its remaining schedule. Fairmont has a few slightly better teams - but they have the advantage of being in the MEC with no OOC games, so SOS is always .500 IUPs SOS is crap, since the west teams all lost their OOC games pretty much.

                                I think Slippery Rock can afford a loss and still get in when the dust settles. Still, better win them both to be sure. Win both and Rock should not only get in, but host a first round game.
