Quite a few years ago (1994) we played and beat Central Florida.

Mumme was the coach. Hatcher was the QB.

At the time UCF was ranked #6 in one poll and #1 in the Sports Illustrated preseason poll for 1-AA.

Valdosta won 31-14.

but for how long will vsu stay in d2 one day they go push vsu to move up to d1not go have no choice because its go be to big of a school still sitting in d2 with the lil guys thats moving from d3 to d2 and that look hell of funny its 2018 valdosta and the city needs too grow up everything in valdosta is so backwards look ahead not backwards vsu move straight not back . thats my opinion.

These are good D2 type numbers. I know fans, players, and people in your admin. There is a lack of funding. Your coaches and players are overcoming this. They even have equipment issues.

Just as a comparison, this is how the likely FCS champions compare.

10,631 Enrollment
122,359 Fargo Population
$28,124,505 Athletic Budget

I love almost everyone I have met from Valdosta....some of the best people in the world.....but VSU would need a huge infusion of capital to make a successful move to the FCS.
