    • Talked with a long time Presbyterian College football fan, and asked if there has been a big adjustment since they moved up a division from the D2 - SAC. "He said other than having to get used to losing and no longer having a bunch of close by rivals it's..................damn, I miss those good old days".

They may be back in D2 sooner than later. They barely have 1000 students.

        • With the current trend in the lower divisions of college sports with less enrollment numbers we all could be looking at difficulties in funding. The nil is totally out of control and the portal has created chaos. If someone doesn’t step up and take charge of this mess its going to become a real ****show.

It would make sense, especially for football.

            • The West Georgia Wolves have scheduled their first future football contest against a team from the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), FBSchedules.com has learned.
              ….
West Georgia has now added its first FBS opponent to its future schedules, and it’s a Power opponent that just completed its first season in the Big 12 Conference.

West Georgia will travel to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sept. 4, 2027. The Bearcats will pay the Wolves a $400,000 guarantee for the contest, according to a copy of the contract obtained from the University of Cincinnati via a state public records request. The contract was executed on Dec. 12, 2023.

                  • Wolves will host Samford to open the season and Shorter later in the season for non-conference games. They also play at ACU as a non-conference game even though ACU is in the UAC. Because of that, the Wolves will be the only team to play all UAC opponents in 2024.

                    • Gonna have to expand the travel budget quite a bit.

                      Good luck 👍🏻

1, Shorter. But, you never really know with the portal. They are putting together a young staff that may pull some great transfers. It will be interesting to watch.

Yep. They had a great season in 2022 but were 6-5 last season. I’m a bit surprised the Wolves scored a home game with them right out of the gate.
