I was relieved that we could move the ball on them, but I was more afraid we were squandering opportunities before their defense settled in and started to actually stop us. Fortunately they never did.

I’m thinking there’s equal chances of GVSU being a defensive battle like last year or the Bisons put together a handful of drives to get 20-30 points and win. That’s the same thing I thought about the Pitt game, though
    Passing is a Sin

I didn't say that I didn't see Harding's offense pushing Pitt back, said that they were holding their own. Heck, Pitt kept them off the scoreboard in the first quarter which I think we can all agree was a pretty impressive feat right there. I did kinda think that Pitt squandered their chances of scoring more points when they settled for that 3 instead of getting 7 out of that drive.

It’s the off that gets all the hype, but the Def that’s so dominant. Didn’t surprise me at all that they didn’t get more points off the TO. If we get beat it won’t be because of our defense.

There's a reason why GVSU fans have been sandbagging this week. we've looked over those ramparts and we're not seeing somebody who we can beat by 2 touchdowns, we're seeing someone who could probably beat us by 2 touchdowns or more.

I think it’s a nail biter to the end either way just like good football should be.

First drives are typically a wash with HU. The 2nd and 3rd drives were self inflicted. Harding dominated the Pitt line, that game was always going to end with Harding scoring 50 points.

I miss the banter with Kle… last year was so much fun.

The West Michigan area got about 4 inches of snow between last night and as of about 2 PM today, Friday, so far. It looks like Allendale is around 2-3 inches. The whole area is under a winter weather advisory until 7 AM Saturday. So I would think it's likely going to be cold, not too snowy, and I'm guessing the field will be pretty clear.

Well last year's GV team was actually good when they had a QB who wasn't playing with a separated shoulder or a backup QB playing with a messed up leg that needed surgery. This year's GV team is not nearly as good as that one was. So there's no use trying to get in any kind of pissing match when Harding is going to run away with this.

Gettin pretty messy at GVSU right now. I'm about 15 minutes east of GVSU and I've got about 8 inches of snow on the ground right now. Here's a live GVSU webcam. Doesn't look as bad there as of right now. But the grass around the stadium is likely gonna be a bit of a mess. Gonna guess they'll still be able to have the field relatively clean unless the current heavy participation keeps going, but it looks like it is supposed to let up overnight.

I just have this eerie concern that there’s a lot of sandbagging going on with the GVSU faithful lol.

No doubt. I expect the bisons to win, but I’m very concerned.

It’s kind of like the old schoolyard philosophy. It’s not the guy that runs his mouth about how tough he is that you need to worry about. It’s the quiet kid in the corner who is sitting off to the side.

This team's points per game on offense is the second-worst for GV since 2000, and the worst since the offense that went 6-5 in 2014. If the GV defense gives up one touchdown to you, it's likely going to be enough lol. If anything else happens, then the GV fans will be more surprised than you would be. Obviously I would love to win, but I've already scheduled an appointment at the car dealership to turn my car lease in next Saturday lol.

Hope so I know I’d be extremely pleased to walk away from Lubber’s with another 7-6 W.
